LED looks like pure crap. It's so ugly and doesn't belong on any car. The only car it looked good on was the R8, and now EVERY car company uses it. Ford, Audi, BMW, Hyundai and so on. It's a fucking ugly fad and people are gonna hate it eventually.

I saw LED tails on caddies before the R8 even came out.

LED tails and indicators are just better. They last longer, they're brighter, they light up instantly, and did I mention they last forever?

Yeah, put it on your air powered horse wagons and fart powered trains then. Keep it off petrol cars. Car styling from 2010 and afterwards has just been going downhill.
Car styling has been going downhill for fifteen years now. Everything's all bubbly and hideous.

"Let's make a 700 (or so) horsepower Lamborghini with a huge gasguzzling V12. Let's also make some power efficient headlights. That's nice."

Right, because a car capable of 200MPH+ isn't worthy of headlights that have a longer range than the current technology while weighing considerably less and being far less likely to randomly burn out. I mean, there's no performance application for such a light, right?

Lightbar =/= $20 ebay tails. That lightbar looks sick. I went through the entire interior of my car and swapped every bulb with LED's. So much brighter + less power draw. Even wired in some footwell lights as well.

    That's a really cool picture.

I liked LEDs when they were almost exclusively on high-end cars- that way if I saw LEDs coming my way, I knew to pay attention in case I saw something cool. Now everything has them. Granted, they're bright, energy efficient, and look neat, but I kinda liked the exclusivity.

Not as bad as HID/xenon lights though. I like my retinas intact, thank you very much. However, I went to the auto show here in Cleveland on Sunday, and on the new Mustangs they have a spherical lens so that you only get the full brightness if you're looking directly into it from the front. Very cool, and they don't blind the driver coming the other way.

Or, you know, just aim your headlights correctly and don't use HID/Xenon bulbs without projectors and everything's dandy. The issue comes from people using HID's in standard halogen housings that weren't designed for them, and they scatter light everywhere. Properly aimed projectors won't blind anyone.

I don't have HID/xenon lights, so I can't do anything about it. I wish people could get pulled over for incorrectly aligned headlights- that might help fix the problem by making sure they're aware that "hey, I'm blinding other drivers, maybe I should fix my lights!"

People most certainly get pulled over for it. If your headlights are misaimed or improperly configured (HID's in plastic housings), and you zip past a cop and blind his ass he's going to give you a ticket. In california, HID's are illegal unless equipped from factory, but they're so prevalent aftermarket now that cops don't care as much.

    I've never understood that, personally.

then again California likes to stick their dick into everything related to modding a car. Some locales don't even allow engine swaps for some odd reason.

You'd think they'd be clued in that something's not right when they can't see any better than before.

What colour are your rear indicators?

I believe his car just flashes the tail light on that side. It's pretty commonplace over here, and is how the majority of trucks and SUVs are set up. A seperate blinker light on the back is a rarity on anything that has a tow rating of note.

They are red. Some came with red and some came with orange, it's the light dead corner between the two tail lights.

Because I hate HID's to death. Xenon, LED and HID should go to fucking hell.

Plus, white rims and yellow headlights go well together imo. I think it's cool because it's a bit misplaced. I can see why people wouldn't like it.
HID's really only belong in projector headlights, using halogens in projectors doesn't work anywhere near as well. Although the halogens which are in my highbeams are really fucking bright. 6k HID's look amazing, IMO.

I'll have to take some pictures one of these days at dusk, 6k's look really good with the clover/cypress green.

Bug-eye Integras are awesome. No matter the country.
The USDM 98-01 fronts are my personal favorite, the JDM fronts are cool and all but it's really only cool if it's an actual RHD import and not just a different front end welded on.

What colour are your rear indicators?
Red, 98-01 in the US were all red. 94-97 had amber indicators.

In the UK(maybe EU also) the indicators were white but probably with amber bulbs though.

HIDs are the shit, man. But only if you have projectors. I see too many Civics and other cheaper cars with HIDs and it's an eyesore to everyone. They're designed with projector housings in mind and inside projectors are way better than standard halogen, let alone yellow-fied piss-color halogen. There's a reason a lot of manufacturers use Bi-Xenon nowadays. Yes, it's blue and looks cool and high-end, but it also lasts longer, uses less energy, and is way brighter all at the same time. I would have put money into aftermarket projectors, not urine-flavored bulbs.

I'm on my 4th day of driving a manual, no more burnt clutch, still getting used to traffic and hillstarts.

Just be kind to your gas and clutch balance dude, if your car feels like it's going to stall, floor the clutch, bingo.

Just don't drive normal speed with your foot halfway down on the clutch, don't shift into neutral when parking, and shift back into 1st when you're at a light (unless it's a long ass light, then you can sit in neutral until green)

You'll get it, I promise. Just listen to Kavinsky

Hey I use HID in my OEM Reflector housing, and I am fairly sure that they're aimed low enough that they aren't much of a big deal to other drivers, even asked to a few of my friends how it was. The overall thing costed me 200 dorra with the Bi-xenon 6000k kit and the brand new OEM headlights.

Seems odd that Honda would go to all that trouble of making specific US issue lights just for something as little as red indicators. The lights seem pretty universal in terms of legislation for any country (bar the thin reflector stripes added on for the EU but they're little more than a pair of stickers over the tail lights).

Uh, what? That doesn't make any sense. Depressing the clutch might put a little wear on the throwout bearing and transmission when idling, but it's so minimal that you won't notice any negative effects from it. If you want to drop it in neutral strictly for the sake of saving your throwout bearing, that's fine, but you're putting more wear and tear on the brakes. It's honestly a matter of circumstance, if you're coming up to a light to turn right, there's nothing wrong with holding in your clutch since you're about to move in a couple of seconds anyways.

    Edited:

you also save fuel and brakes
How does it save brakes being in neutral? You're putting more stress on the brakes since the transmission isn't slowing you down.

There is no clutch wear while the clutch is engaged or disengaged, only in that middle ground/gray area so it makes no difference when you push the clutch in while rolling up to a light. It might be more efficient to let the engine slow down the car while rolling up to a light, but it's hardly a case of "No, that's entirely wrong" or "you should never roll in to a light with the clutch in".
