apparently this guy's other guitar is even worse than that, not cleaned in 4 years minimum
I've never cleaned any of mine in about 5 years except the occasional blast with an airgun

From what I remember the later Death albums were recorded with an 8100. Those valvestates have got a cult following among some people. They sound pretty decent to me from what I've heard but I've never played one

    story of my life.
.60 to .13 freaks people out and action so high I occasionally go underneath all the other strings when playing up high.
I have .12-56 on my SG but my action is pretty low, i'll probably get it a little higher soon

I just quit my lessons, I'm looking for new lessons, but the I felt the old lessons weren't helping me progress. It was basically a half hour walk to have a guy Google a song a I wanted to learn, open it in Guitar pro (Which I have on my PC) and then guide me through it for the last ten or so minutes of the lesson, although I could usually do them without help. Anyway, do you guys think I did the right thing?

Yeah that sounds immensely unhelpful. Anyone can read a tab and play it (after however long). Lessons to me should be teaching you WHY something works, WHY you're playing something where you are and how you are. That sort of thing. It's easy to learn guitar and be unmusical, and it's a trap I fell into which I'm still trying to scramble out of

I did exactly the same thing a few months ago and I don't regret it at all. tbh I should have moved on months earlier but my old teacher was a really cool guy. idk, I'm happy that I'm learning how to be a musician rather than just a person who plays a bass guitar now.

Finally took my guitar to get set up at Heart of Texas music. It'll be done in one day! Ray Henning freaked when I told him I wanted .60 to .13. Not only that, but it's a $50 setup fee due to the bridge being yanked up so far, truss rod being fucked, frets needing fixed, electronics shorting.

Suppose your name does summarize that post.

Anyway got back not long ago from checking out that amp and guitar. Guy wanted 230 for them both I gave him 180.

    Here is 2 pics.

Not to sure about the guitar but gathered I could sell it on for something.
Ill see how I get onto it compared to the low range ibanez I have.
    Came with 2 spare valves

Welp, I'll take a pic when I get it back hopefully tomorrow. My frets are almost gone, so I might ask him to put some new ones on if I don't think I'm able to.

I don't normally lose all of mine. Normally I wear them down to nothingness. How have you been using the same one for 2 years?!

I kill a pick every couple of months, sometimes less.

I have some standard black Jazz IIIs that I've been using for about 6 years now. They wore down a little bit initially but they've stopped it seems.

    Edited:

super shiny metal, looks awesome. I like my initials being on it too, but I dunno if I want to use it. I want to just use it decoratively

I suppose Jazz III's are pointy enough that you can get away with that. I normally play with Claytons, whatever their picks are made of, and I love the feel and the release but once the tip starts to wear away too much it just becomes awkward to use (and extremely sharp on a slant).
