    Wost. Drop test. Ever.
How do you really rate a drop test?

    ☑ Device dropped
☑ Device dropped until it broke

    Seems fine to me

I mean the new transformer prime is out and that's $500 compared to its $350 Tegra 2 predecessor

    Edited:

in comparison would the Kindle fire be a better choice
Asus has a new $370 tegra 3 tablet out, its pretty good

Quick question, I live in the UK, and I've bodged Google wallet onto my phone and gotten the $10 prepaid card, will that actually work in England?

It really depends on if the location has the Mastercard type payment systems.

You're supposed to compare it to a different device by dropping them at the same time.

Thinking of saving up and buying one. I love my Galaxy Tab 10.1, but...it's a bit consumery for my taste. Not as versatile as a Transformer.

CPU Is better, GPU is equivalent, less battery drain and the phone runs cooler.

    Oh, and you get LTE.

It's also the HTC One XL outside NA, so you will have lots of dev support as long as they get picked up by carriers in Eurasia.

Oh. It was only the dev support that I was worried about. And I really wish that it didn't have LTE. I have absolutely no use for the extra speed and then I end up paying extra for something that isn't even offered in my area.

    Nexus S:
    1000mhz single core, 512mb RAM

    Galaxy S2:
    1200mhz dual core, 1gb RAM

just from that alone it seems like a decent upgrade

Why do they need to compare it to a different device? Its not a One X vs. [insert phone here] drop test. Unless you mean another One X, to make sure its consistent which does make sense. And why the same time? Its not like gravity changed any.

Because that's how nearly all others are done, so you know how well it compares to a different phone about the same price. And you do it at the same time to make sure you drop them from about the same height.

4G right now is such a gimmick right now. Why would you sacrifice so much of your battery life, when you have HSPA+ which takes 1-3 seconds longer than 4G?

You won't be using the 4G network's full potential anyway unless you're downloading torrents on your phone.
Well you GSM users are also using modern 3G technologies. Us CDMA users using 3G technologies on par with really cheap DSL that has issues buffering MP3's. 4G is like a night and day difference.

Huh. I was apparently thinking of Sprint. I know that I can turn it off, I just thought that there was an extra charge just for having it, like Sprint has, in which case I didn't want it.

Of all things, the one thing that Verizon doesn't nickle and dime you to death with is 4G access.

    Thank god.

Yeah, AT&T, for all of it's evil bastard bullshit, hasn't slapped retarded extra fees for just having an LTE phone.

I believe the HTC One X or One XL is the best phone out, at least in raw horsepower.

Samsung Galaxy S2/Galaxy Note (same specs but Note is bigger, has a pressure sensitive stylus and HD display)
    HTC One X
    Sony Xperia S

These are the best at the moment I'd say. The choice depends on your personal preferences. One X already ships with Android 4.0, S2 has a downloadable update, Note/Xperia S are going to be updated soon.

They usually come pre-formatted. And I think Android only uses FAT32 for sdcards. Don't worry about it, it will notify you if the card is in the wrong format.

Wait for the S3 which comes out in a few weeks. The prices will drop accordingly once S3 has been out for a week.

HTC One X is a beast, best Android experience I've had. I detested Sense but Sense 4.0 is amazing and actually works. They've done a great job with this device.
