Yikes...Motorola is a joke. Just took a look at their updated ICS upgrade page and not only is my less than 1 year old phone not getting it, most of their phones won't be getting updates for months. The Photon 4G is supposed to be getting Q4. Why even bother?

I'm due an upgrade on my phone (LG GW620, my first smartphone, had it for two years or so, only has an old version of android). Looking through the website there were two phones that caught my eye, the T-Mobile Vivacity and the LG Optimus. Anyone have any experience with either of these phones? Or the HTC Wildfire, which I'm not too sure about yet.

I know, I'm just generalizing that just straight out saying "your opinion sucks, go to hell" is the dumbest thing you can do to try and convince someone.

ICS for my Atrix is currently 'in development' for Q3 2012. Europe is still 'Evaluation and planning' though, which will probably mean no official release for me. Not fussed so long as the camera in ICS gets fixed.

God damn the Mail Exchange Service on the GNex is utter tripe.

My mum uses hotmail on her GNex and the Exchange process keeps the phone awake forever. So her phone goes from 100% to 0% in three hours even if its in her pocket the entire time. If I disable the process, she can't receive email from her hotmail account and doesn't want to use the gmail account she has.

And according to ICS' fantastic data tracking system, it appears the exchange service uses 100mb a day syncing her stuff even when no mail was received.

Who let that crap pass through QA?

Yeah my Bionic was promised ICS back in November, and now it's scheduled for Q3 this year.

Actually most tech illiterates call an android phone a htc because they look the nicest. I've had people stare right at the massive samsung logo on the top of my SII and still call it a HTC.

Hey everyone, I just got a Samsung Galaxy Spica. It has Android 2.2 on it. And Cyanogen mod. And tell me guys, first time I'm ever having a phone with Android. (I used Samsung Monte before. Never again.) Is it worth installing Gingerbread, and is there going to be any performance loss?

Decided to get myself some android action, breaking my earlier promise to myself that I'd only do it once my current phone dies. (I'd temporarily forgotten my current phone is a Nokia)
Ordered the Galaxy Nexus after looking through the list of phones for a week or so, hoping to receive it on Monday.

Some people don't notice it, especially when you're playing games and they ask you what your Apple game center stats/account name is. Happened to me when I was using a friends SGSII. I had an interesting conversation where I denied giving her any info and I just kept on playing.

Woah woah woah, why did you get such an old phone? The spica was great, and the custom roms on Samdroid were and still are good, but why did you get such a bad phone? The ZTE Blade is probably the same price and better.

Naw, I didn't really pick that phone. I got it from my dad who ordered a new one. I'm thinking of getting Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman at this very moment.

There is a ton of perfectly working alternatives on market, which work as good as Siri. Samsung one is probably going to be worse then them
    The one with some "personality"
    Straightforward and simple
Parody made in 24 hours (works really well)

Vlingo is the only one with custom TTS though, all others use awful stock android one (but hey you can install a different one if you want)

AFAIK Only Motorola currently makes Android phones with a physical keyboard.
HTC used to (Desire Z and the complete joke named ChaCha).
