Are there apps for tracking data flow? All I have to go by is the ATT number you call, and its not very accurate.

I had 140mb of 200mb last month and realized I had a bit to go, and I was trapped in a car for a bit, so I download a 20mb podcast. It said 140mb for the rest of the month
Get 3G Watchdog, its probably the best I've used. It tracks mobile and WiFi.

Another reason why I fucking hate Verizon, that they never get any grand phones.
To be fair, we had the Droid (which I dare say is responsible for Android's current success, with the S2 being facilitated by the Droid bringing the first truly great Android phone to the public), and then the Galaxy Nexus.

And now we're getting the S3. Now I'm getting the S3.

My data usage for this month is 96,17MB on mobile and 590,76MB on WiFi

So yeah, I don't understand how the fuck 70GB is possible either
This month so far: 7GB+ on Wifi, last 7 days: 6GB+, today: 31MB (on Reddit), yesterday: 1GB+.

Last Month (May): 25GB+ on Wifi

    Total (since like March): 60GB+

Yeah, I basically download a bunch of 3D games (more recently Gameloft's N.O.V.A. 3 which was 2GB to download, plus all of those failed attempts where the stupid downloader they use restarts the download often and I end up loosing like 100MB each time, so it was probably around 5GB in total just for NOVA3), and YouTube videos (more recently all of E3 livestreams, re-caps and reviews, VGHS, FilmRiot, etc.). Yup, a shitload of data monthly. And most of it is off libraries, coffee shops and schools.

    I feel like a sir.

Hey guys, the soft buttons on my SGSII (menu and back) isn't lighting up. It only lights up when I adjust the brightness of my phone, but after the screen turns off, the soft buttons stop lighting up after the screen turns back on. The buttons are still functional, but just not lighting up.

If you're on stock, i think there's an option that sets the timeout period for them? Might be set to 0..

Yeah, I could see maybe 2 GB max if she's viewing ever single picture from every single friend she has. But 70? Some kind of virus or she's lying about what she does.

If I had LTE and unlimited with a GS3 or One X, my data usage would be through the roof just because it wouldn't be painful to use the internet anymore.

CM9? It has an option to turn the key lights on and off so maybe try checking and unchecking the box (Settings - Advanced - Sensors). It could also be a ROM problem.

However, Sony has announced that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is now rolling out to "most" Xperia Mini Pro models worldwide, although this might not happen for some network locked handsets

    http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/...oid-ics-update

FUCKING ROGERS IT WILL TAKE FOREVER!

Rogers took like 2 months to roll out 2.3.4. update -_-

    Also, http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/199353
You can download the offical firmware and flash it using flashtool. You don't need an unlocked bootloader or anything.

Are you on the latest nightly? I just tried turning them on (I have them off because I like it more), turning the screen off and on and it works with no problem here.

I have Black Infinitum ROM flashed on my SGSII not CM9, because CM9 was buggy for me during that time.

Facebook really does use a lot of data though.

    Especially compared to steam.
Steam barely uses any data even though it's running 24/7 for me and I chat on it quite a lot.

So does Reddit, and YouTube. Email uses almost nothing and Netflix will use a lot.

There's the HTC One S/X and the GS3 but the Galaxy Nexus is a very solid phone specially because you get the pure android experience and instant software upgrades from Google, so in my opinion, yeah it's the best you can get

I'm actually surprised Google lets you get it for so cheap in the US. $400 for an unlocked device without a contract? Especially one that is still pretty high end.

Kinda wish I went with a prepaid SIM and that instead of Verizon's version ($300 WITH a contract). Oh well. I have no idea how good GSM coverage is here. Probably a bit better since T-Mobile and AT&T arrived.

Probably not, because more and more devices are getting ICS as it is anyway. And I'm willing to bet it uses ICS only features as well. To be honest, you're not missing out on a ton.

Completely knew to Android, and smart phones in general actually.

I was sick of having a super crappy flip-phone type thing for the past few years, so I went out and bought a Galaxy Proclaim. Yeah, it's pre-paid and a tracphone, but it's a huge step up from what I had before.

The plan I have is $45 a month, and has 3G up to 2 GB of data, apparently throttled to 256kb/s or something similar after. Hope I don't use that much, though I can definitely see it with the music I plan on streaming.
