Don't get Motorola if you like updates.
My Atrix is p.sweet but I would have been disappointed as fuck if I'd picked it up full price on release.
Apparently according to Motorola, the Razr is getting ICS "Q2"
Alot of the people on FP seem to have an Asus TF101, I've encountered the bootloop problem but usually it would stop after I held down the power button and then coldstarted it.
Right now I can't get it to stop going through it's bootloop and I'm waiting for the battery to run out. Any suggestions, and has anyone heard of Asus addressing the problem, I heard the last update was supposed to fix it but really didn't do anything.
No wait I can get it to power down, but when I start it back up it continues to bootloop.
I'm hoping with the near completion status of Google's acquisition of Motorola, they will be more open to rooting and such.
Hey guys, my i777 is having an issue. Im running CM9 May 8th nightly, and the problem has spanned multiple nighlies (But not all). My phone will just randomly crash. The screen is always off when it happens, and it continues to use power until I hold the power button for about 10 seconds and it is forced to restart. The battery graph does a jump down by quite a bit each time this happens, because the phone is probably using the CPU while it crashes. I'm not sure if CM9 is the problem, or some app that I installed. Running apps doesn't show anything that looks shifty, only google processes and all my widgets + juice defender. During the time that it is crashed/crashing, the phone is totally unresponsive. The screen stays off. The capacitive buttons don't work, volume keys don't work, the only fix is holding the power button for a bit. You guys have any advice? I'm going to update the nightly when I get time, but I don't think it will fix it.
I'm going to get back stock ROM on my galaxy 2. But I don't really get what firmware to use, and if there's any risks if I get the wrong one.
I seem to recall some kind of guide to what each letter and such meant. I seem to recall that when I first got a custom ROM I had to look at what my phone had, and find something that matched.
I'm really just lost, what should I look out for? The two first letters seems to be the language or something, but what does the next 2-3 letters stand for? And what happens if I fuck up?
So, anyone else with the Asus Transformer Prime have issues with their camera?
-snip- was supposed to post this in "post your homescreen".
Cyanogenmod 7.2 is way more awesome than I expected it to be.
Is it a bad idea to get a note?
If you actually need the Note-exclusive features (stylus, giant screen, special Touchwiz crap), no.
i want a giant screen but not a stylus. and whats touchwiz crap
Well, there's a bunch of apps for the Note. A photo editor, a note taking app, and just a bunch of apps that look nice on the Note.
Root acquired on the S3, fuck yeah! (not by me, by chainfire).
But I don't want a tablet
The Note isn't a bad phone at all, but since you still want a huge ass screen without a stylus, the SGSII LTE or Skyrocket something which has a 4.5 inch screen , or even an HTC One X which has a 4.7 inch screen, or you could wait for the SGSIII but rumors say it will be released in the summer or something.
Check those out.
Eh, since he lives in Austria, SGSII LTE or Skyrocket are out of question,
HTC One X which is already out
SGS3 which will be out 29th May
those are your two best bets if you want a large screen but don't want/have no use for a stylus.
I thought you can use the Note without it???
just get the damn Note if you dont want the new top tier phones
How do I keep my phone's screen clean? It gets dirty as fuck very quickly no matter if my hands are clean or not.
HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS.
Look at all that bubble warp!
Oh, and I also got that HTC, but who cares.
This phone is all kinds of awesome, except for the earbuds, the earbuds suck.
I wished that they would at least be in-ear...
It'd be pretty interesting if Google decides to have a Nexus series where a few OEMs (3-5 tops) submit a single flagship that would be pure Android.
There should be a special circle in hell for people who put their 'preferred' recovery inside a ROM update zip.
and for those who put in their ~amazing~ themes
