I thought that the shape was just too motionless, like there's those angle variations all of a sudden, if you know what I mean. But maybe I can just go with the other one

Ok I have the basic image down, can't go into extreme detail/rendering because of deadlines and dimension restrictions (I have to scale it down so if I put in a shit ton of detail it will look flat). Now I have to create my own text for the poster, which I suck balls at.

I like the rendering, but your colors are always kinda boring chains, never any atmosphere.
Yea I need to start learning more complex color schemes, I hate color theory but it is necessary!
yea ur colours feel very primary and standard
Hola muchachos!
I haven't done any real photography in a while, so when I was sitting in my room today, I noticed something that would make an interesting subject

Wasn't there a photography thread? Also, it's kinda out of focus.
it's not out of focus, it's a dof effect

the color is fine, on the other hand the scaling of the colorful forearm/hand looks off
Edited:
Also I made another one

we have a photography section with this kinda thread, fish
in the meantime, I really need to start practicing faces again. I've gotten lazy and haven't drawn human forms in a while.
also my sister ended up adopting a bunny because I asked her if a friend had one I could borrow for a joke photo.
just a speedy sketch, I got work to do. The ear bothers me but whatever
Too saturated. You may be going for a 'bright/youthful vs grim/macabre' appearance, but I don't really like that
Might look nice with a bit of blood seeping through the left side of the shirt too
I disagree, I get tired of art with muted tones and it's nice to see something colorful
Here is a little taste of what you'll see for tomarow!
Another sloppy acrylic on cardboard.
And more gunnes

It reminds me of the Pixel Junk games
Also it looks very nice![]()

Slow as shit progress and my eyes hurt. Still not used to the tablet, but it feels better every time.

also I swear at one point the grey turned purple and green lol
the forms are getting there but now you've really gotta push up the contrast and get some stronger shadows and highlights in there
The only problems I have are that the abs curve up, making them look really flat, and that the right pec is lower than the left, when it would actually be higher because it's flexing
Other than that I think it's amazing. I love the subtle s-curve, it gives it that nice feeling of movement
Now that you mention it, it seems so obvious. I feel like a fool now, haha. Thanks though, I needed it.
can someone post that fruit painting tut please
We are working on these giant 7 foot boards with this great big paper. Really weird drawing this large.

is it me or is it a bit skewed
I'm sorry but the foreground should not be out of focus since you clearly tried to focus on the radiator.
ahem
So, er, yeah. Working on story boards. Character designs. That sort of thing.
goddamnit where's my vicodin
please?
Seeing as the other two got no response, there is probably no use in posting this. But, whatever.
Nowhere near the level of you guys, but I guess that's what makes it 'doesn't deserve a thread'.
Don't let the other discourage you! Some people that post here do deserve an own thread but this is kinda the general discussion thread so they post it here.
Oh hey don't be like that. First rule of criticism, I like to say, is to not judge yourself. And it's an important one. You should find learning words from someone who knows what to say about your work, and not your own self-esteem. After all, we have to start somewhere.
As far as your robot goes it only gives out an up and down dimension since it's looking rather flat. Have in mind that even if someone takes a picture of something straight ahead, you can still percieve three dimensions: a depth. What would happen if it was standing slightly facing the left? From behind? Or above? I suggest that you practice this by drawing said shapes in a correct perspective, and then try to shade it and add a shadow to the object. It could be anything from a sphere to a human's heart.
Vargass? As in, 40's pin-up artist Alberto Vargas?
Wow just researched him, love his work... Time to do some master copies.
Yes. Of course.
Here is the full video, enjoy!
what the heck is it

oh i see. creeps me out
so nobody's gonna post that fruit painting tutorial? fine.

wow that duck is packin
snerp
Just got a tablet, first ever drawing on it. I'm excited for the future

Shit every time I see an amateur drawing of a wolf it reminds me of that thread about the bestiality forum where 9/10 users wanted to be "raped by a pack of wolves"
It's very flat, there is little to no depth in the wolf. Also solidify your linework. Try and get smoother lines along the outline.
This may just be my stylistic preference, but for a digital painting I wouldn't outline it in black.
Also, take a look at this heavily WIP background for a website.
I need C&C
