It's a H60, get an NH-D14 if space isn't an issue (check your RAM and motherboard heatsink heights), this.
ram isn't an issue unless the slots are close enough to touch the fins, the front fan can be raised
Holy shit who is that in your avatar
yo. i followed your suggestion and got everything round the back. SATA power cables I have not modded though and still look ugly, but i've made a huge improvement thanks to your post and also the pic of your case. I dare say mine is nearly as tidy as yours save for the SATA mod and HDD cage removal
the only issue i see is that some cables are sitting on top of the edge of my PSU fan. will this impede air flow?
I might take a pic of my case some other day when I have a real camera.. iphone quality is terrible
one of the suicide girls, not sure which.
Aren't porn avatars still bannable?
Jane Doe or something like that?
Not from what I've seen...
Guess garry backed off on that then. Haven't really seen any besides armotekma's since the gold member porn avatar fad of 09
can't see shit capn
put those in thumbnails [t][/t]
FIXED
I was moving it around and I heard something drop. I looked down, and the plastic bits which insert into the plastic prongs onto the actual case broke off entirely. I've emailed Corsair about it a few days ago with no response.
You people with all your pretty cable management.
EDIT:
Curse you all, now I feel heavily encouraged to actually go through and cable manage my case.
Hot damn that's some mighty fine cable management there, sir.
You know I'm holding a competition?
Not sure what case to get.. one that preferably keeps it cool and quiet. I was going to get the 650d because of the steel and the side window, it just looks nice.
Any other suggestions though to save some pounds?
I've just decided that a cable management competition is inherently flawed due to there being a ceiling in which there can no longer be better cable management, as seen in the picture, everything is hidden except the ends of cables that plug into the components on show which cannot be hidden unless you fashioned some kind of cover over the cables, which is really just cheating.
Fractal R3, always a good choice, cooling isn't as great but the price is right and it's quiet due to the in-built acoustic dampening.
You should get a perfect score then.
Theoretically.
Except it could still be improved with braided cables. /spoiler
Braided cables are bad cable "management"
If used incorrectly. Braided cables aren't this magical item that once installed you instantly have better cable management. You still have to hide the cables as you would with non-braided cables. It's for enthusiasts with extra money to spend.
No it's for people who never do anything inside their PC who buy wooden furnishing for the case.
In Tennant's case, braids would look awesome. In a case like THIS, they would look terrible. This is why I implemented three levels of classification into the competition.
Edited:
Damn folks, why so serious about a competition that's giving away FREE stuff to those who try for it?
Cable management is some serious shit.
Can I ask why you're David Tennant? It's been bugging me for a while.
Ever see the thread on OCN?
This is what I did before I modded my SATA power cables. It's pretty effective when it comes to hiding the cables, but it's not a neat as modding them. Here's an old pic of what I'm talking about: (old case, but similar HDD cage design, as it was a Lian-Li)
If I remember correctly, I just twisted the cables somehow and tucked them away. I'm sure if you fiddle around with it for a couple of minutes, you should be able to get them tucked away.
Edit: But this just looks so much cleaner IMO. Even though there's a bit more wire exposed:

That looks pretty stylish
Edited:
My HDD's are in removable bays anyways so you cant even see the wires, nevertheless nice job
SATA power cables are the bane of my existance, especially when the idiot that designed the cable layout for my PSU decided that it would be a great idea for the cables to be positioned awkwardly
I can't get a picture right now, I'll try and get one, but the plugs have to go in basically upside down so the wire toward the next plug is pointing downwards instead of upwards towards the next drive
During my build I found Cable Management the most painful of it all. I don't know if it's my case or my incompetence but I basically got a half assed job done.
It's all about patient, It's my favorite part about a build.
This is how far my patience went.
Tower in question:

My "cable management" or lack thereof.
My tower has little to no room for cable management. The other side panel doesn't have any room for the power cords let alone all the other cables running through little jr here.
I have an mATX case and mine looks nicer than that...
It's not too difficult, I just picked up my computer and plopped it down on my desk at 4 in the morning, only took me 30 minutes. Just take every cable coming out of your power supply and hang it out of the side of your case. Then, start plugging in the main power cables, pci-e, mobo, cpu. Once you have all of those plugged in, bring the leftovers hanging over the motherboard to where the hard drive cages are and just stuff them in somewhere or zip tie it. Then plug in peripheral power, you should be able to take one whole cable, have the last plug go into your optical drive, then shove the rest of that cable in another 5.25" bay. Same with the hard drive power. Then shove any unused cables anywhere they'll fit that doesn't ruin the rest of the look.
Just gave it another go. This is the end result. I still can't get the big cables out of the drive bay but I just learned of module power supplies. Apparently in the future that would be the best thing for me to get. Till then, this will do.
Edited:
I even managed the drop the temp on my GPU by 10 degrees (was 54)

so I think I'm getting this, mostly because it's almost equivalent to the Noctua 14 but it's blue.

Finished upgrading my PC. Cables are now 30% more managed!

Why do you have the shitty intel cooler.
Maybe he couldn't fit a heatsink into his upgrade budget?
thats a nice case, looks sweet
what case is that?
