    It rotates exactly like the last one did.

    The game I'm making is totally top-down orthographic. I technically can move the light into weird positions, but they should never happen during the actual game. One minute, lemme change the direction.

    Good god, this is probably one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen posted in WAYWO. Seriously, great work on this.

    I agree, but it makes less sense in the context of the game. I guess I could just say that the planets are all at different heights. That would work, and it's consistent with SCIENCE.

    Notifications and -proper- in-game text!

    Tho I have to think of a way to make the notifications more readable on such backgrounds...
    Put a white border around it. Or white text with a black border.

    What is steamID saved as? bigint?

    Also, are you sure that the android thing you use doesn't differentiate between a query and a fetch? I know that's the case in PHP at the very least, so you could check if that's the problem.

    Is there a way to check if something is an integer or double AFTER it was inputted in a member-function that only takes ints? (C++)

    So

    Class::memberfunction (int variable)
    {
    //somehow check if variable is an int or a double>, return true if so and false if not an integer
    }

    That's really cool.

    I don't how much realism you're going for but I'm not sure it's possible for an atmosphere to be that thick. The earth's atmosphere is only like 1% of its diameter.

    And please tell me this is related to your RTS game.

    It just rounds it as if I entered an integer from the beginning.

    It just feels so non-elegant if I would have to start with

    Class::memberfunction (double variable1)
    {
    if (//variable is an integer)
    {
    //make it
    int variable2
    }
    else
    cout << "You have to enter an integer number!" << endl;
    }

    Stored as a string because lazy :)
    It'll get changed to bigint soon though, string was just easier to use for testing stuff out.

    And it gets the right amount in a different method running on the main thread, whereas this is in a background thread, so it's likely just a small problem there.

    This is going to require a very recent compiler, and templates.

    #include <type_traits>

    template <typename T>
    void my_class::member_function(T var) {
      static_assert(std::is_integral<T>::value, "my_class::member_functions only takes ints!");
      /* do stuff here */
    }

    The solution was posted above, but why wouldn't you want people to be able to implicitly cast other types to integers when calling that function?

    Edited:

    Because all things considered after it has been passed to the function it is an int.

    It's part of the task, though I could interpret it as "make a function that only accepts integers, and if one inputs something else, it gets rounded", which would mean I'm done and I don't have to add all kinds of crap that makes the function LESS useful...

    I'm going for a steady balance between realism and prettiness, a balance where realism is thrown out the door whenever it interferes with gameplay or making things look cool. However, Titan's atmosphere is way thick, easily a solid 10% of its diameter.

    And yes, this is all going into my space RTS.

    I'm using the same textures! *brofist*

    Also, you should make things like sand and water take up only one place in the selector and automatically determine the orientation (it's not hard to do if your level storage allows you to check the tiles around the current one).
