    Just re-watched 2001: A Space Odyssey.
10/10, still my favorite movie of all time. The use of classical music and special effects always blows me away, especially in the "Blue Danube" scene. HAL is also the best villan ever put to film IMO. The way he mercilessly kills the astronauts and other evil things while keeping a monotone voice, as well as the possibility that this may be the future of technology is really frightening. I will always love Kubrick and his great movies.

    wrath of the titans

4/10 it was so boring and generic holy shit, not even the eye candy kept me entertained, the story had no soul at all

    The introduction:
-"oh hi son i know you hate me but the gods need you, evil forces are here blablah"
-"MMMMMM NO I HAVE A SON"
    -"Evil forces eat children too"
-"OMG BRB SAVE THE WORLD FOR MY SON"

In the middle of the fucking adventure:
-"I dunno if I can save the world man, I can't do this... even though I did id once before and everything"
-"cmon we are saving the universe"
-"MMMKAY GOOD ENOUGH REASON NOW I'M SUDDENLY MOTIVATED TO KEEP GOING LETS GO"

Jesus Christ this movie is so bad I think it serves a good purpose:

It is the ultimate stereotypical cheesy american movie. It is like a guide of how not to make a film. The lowest example of american comedy, full of dick jokes and horny teenagers. I mean seriously, this is not how real teenagers behave, all the fucking dialogues were about getting pussy, getting smarked, popping pills what in the fucking fuck HOW CAN ANYONE ENJOY THIS PIECE OF SHIT GARBAGE MOVIE?

Plus, I'm not the type "morals" guy but if this movie intended to ahve some sort of message, it isn't a very pretty one. It glorificates materialism ("You got the minivan? That sucks") and when people went apeshit popping pills. What the fuck. I died a little inside.

also, that alexis bitch: 2/10 nipples too pointy, would not fuck.

I watched Wrath of the Titans last night, unfortunately. What a cliché-riddled and boring film. And Bill Nighy's character was, sadly, really poorly written which is too bad because I like Bill Nighy he owns.

    Dog Day Afternoon

Every bit as awesome as it could have been. The most heart-warming robbery movie I've seen, but when things go slightly wrong you can feel it even though you can't know.

Performances by Pacino and Cazale are pretty much some of their best. It's nowhere near Lumet's best, but it shows how much he can intrigue.

Also watched The Verdict which was also Lumet.
That was also sublime with Paul Newman taking the helm and making you think the case is truly hopeless.

Unlike other courtroom movies, this is the one where you feel it won't happen, and how it happens is pretty great.

It's not a complex story at all.
It doesn't even start at "how and why they rob a bank". It just goes STRAIGHT into it and doesn't stop.

Yeah, he's probably bisexual and his wife doesn't know about it. But the wife is a bitch so no wonder. He cares for the mental gay guy, but the truth there isn't really shown. Only bits and pieces.

But the fact that all this managed to be in a heist movie just amazes me, he walks out of the bank and cheers the crowd. That's awesome.

Sal's character was really untrustworthy and very awkward. Brilliant acting by the man.

i guess that's why i didn't get it, the dissonance of the fabrication of the plot by the movie

the actual plot itself was really just static in the background for something that was going on RIGHT NOW

lol, in a way it's like irreversible. except in irreversible you're not supposed to really like anyone, you're just supposed to see everyone as some person in some event that happened, not a bona fide character.

Pirates in an adventure with scientists.
Despite being a kids film, it makes you laugh your head off at times, and has jokes for older viewers too. One of the main crewmembers had a Blue Peter badge on his hat, for example.
Oh yeah, it had Lenny henry in it as a fellow pirate and David Tennant as Charles darwin.

I'd love to see a modern horror movie that doesn't explain everything. I mean, look at most cheap horror films, there's always that twist at the end, "oh, he was her father" or "oh, it was all a dream", or even "it's actually a ghost that needs to be set free".

If I was in a house/city/dream/whatever with a ghost following me, I definitely wouldn't stop and take my time to do some research on who the ghost is, or what's his purpose. It sort of throws you off, explaining things that we shouldn't even know in the first place, it just breaks the atmosphere for me.

    Also saw American Reunion,
I don't really know, as a film it's nothing special, immature jokes, but for me it was something, it was kinda nostalgic, the soundtrack was gud, it had songs from earlier films as reference.
I also loved the references to the earlier films

sure it's technically a webseries, but all the episodes were about 1:20 hours, that's movie length IMO.

i give it a 7/10, i enjoyed the sonja/jax episodes, the scorpion episodes and the raiden episode, the rest could have been improved (johnny cage's actor had the part down, but his face was just not johnny cage whatsoever). didn't care much for katana, the cyrax episodes were neat, overall i hope this guy makes an even better film.

I saw the trailer for it, I didn't check it out because it looked cheesy, and I personally dislike it when they change the whole backstory of the characters.
