Its actually p funny how all that happened, i was trying to communicate with this guy who was recruting people for some vampire clan (he claimed that vampires could grab their Mammary glands and twist them in a 90° angle) or something like that and we ended up typing random stuff.
Everything was worth it anyways had alot of fun that round.
Still i hope my appeal doesn't gets rejected with a FUCK NO or something like that.

Welp, this sucks. Whenever you try learning the game correctly someone just comes and whacks you on the head and you die. It never changed I guess.

I just started playing yesterday and ive been learning new stuff in this game all this time. and now i was a borg for the first time and i tried to open a door. instead of opening it opened some kind of menu and like the dumbass i am i went and electrified the door.
Now i have been banned for three days just for being an ignorant noob.
Oh and i was also job-banned from Borg and AI. Damn the admins on Gibbed are sensitive as they didn't even let me explain...

Lots of people grifff this game (it's pretty much the whole point of ss13) and they also multikey while banned so admins are kinda strict even with people they've never seen before.

Bah, I'm pretty annoyed by Gib's servers. If there's admin on, they make a clusterfuck of events happen. A wizard, Rogue AI and the Changeling at the same time? didn't leave much time that the crew was all butchered and killed.

I noticed... I tried to appeal in the forums so they would lift the job-bans but keep the short time ban but with no luck.
I just feel like that part of the game has been locked out of my reach even though i don't know how to play as the AI or the Borg yet. The admin who banned me said that they will lift the job-ban if i show them i can be trusted but still it feels wrong. Imagine if you were playing TF 2 and you played always as a scout or medic but heavy & spy were locked even though you would never play as them. you wouldn't like it either i guess.
Maybe i'm just over-reacting to the sudden ban but i just can't help it but to feel this way.

its gibbed and yes i followed the link but want to let a day or 2 pass before i appeal it, one would tell that with everybody shouting "YOU CUNT FUCKER FUCK SHIT LORD" over the radio several times you can't get banned by swearing but meh whatever

So how do you make a Space Station 13 server? Shouldn't be too hard.
and before you ask, I know about opening ports and have hosted servers in the past.

Get Tortoise SVN
Make folder called TGstation (Or whatever you want)
Right click > Check-out
http://tgstation13.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
After that go to the folder where you just dumped the SVN in.
Open the file tgstation.dme
When the screen opens do ctrl + K (Now it will build the file)
Go and open Dream Daemon which is located in the BYOND folder
In the bar "File" click the 3 dots on the right
Browse to the folder of the SVN
Dubble click tgstation.dmb
Click GO
Done

So I've shown a friend of mine this game today, in our first game he pretty much single handedly defeated the wizard as a brain. I was showing him cyborgs but the evacuation shuttle arrived while he was still a brain. Upon arriving at the shuttle the wizard killed me but completely ignored my brain-in-a-box (I had the brain in a crate for some reason)
After I had died the shuttle traveled for a bit, the wizard thinking he had won, no doubt. Then my friend said
Right as the wizard opens the box containing the brain, the shuttle arrives (we didn't plan this, just coincidence)
So yeah, my friend's first game went pretty well.

-Gibbed- A couple of days ago there was a tonne of havoc in Medbay, and so we were all waiting for the escapes shuttle, but little did we know an Admin had extreme Space Lubed the escape arm. This meant that as soon as anyone turned the corner to get to where the Airlocks were they would be setting flying THROUGH a wall and out into space at an extreme speed. It was pretty fucking funny.

Clear cache/cookies, uninstall BYOND, change IP and MAC address via VPN, re-install BYOND, new key, go back to blowing up the whole station.

Is this still as laggy as I remember it? Waiting two seconds for the game to react even when I try to move gets old really fast.

Depends on the server, but yeah. It has lag.

Depends what servers you choose. Gibbed used to lag a lot for me, but it runs pretty smoothly now. D2K5 runs the smoothest, but it's filled with cunts so don't go there. SPS (when it is open) seems to run smoothly as well. It all depends where you live, I think.

I honestly don't really care for extended.
I played a few rounds of it on FPS and a few other servers and I actually thought it was cool, but lately when the round changes to that it ends up with a four-hour round until everyone gets bored and leaves.
Extend-A-Traitormongous isn't really a good idea either, considering that traitors can generally either get their objectives done or die within 15 minutes, so all the traitors die/win and don't do anything else exciting and it reverts back to boring again.

For me, extended can be fun if you have good admins. For example, on FPS, when the admins and I notice that people are getting bored, we run some events. Which some people enjoy.

People enjoy it because people are generally so bored anything noticeable is exciting.

Pray to Veger for SPS to go up again. There will still be lag even on SPS but it will be a lot better than playing on US servers (which is the reason I don't play SS13 nowadays, no good EU servers that I know of).
