this thread isn't what it used to be anymore. it's just a bunch of people talking about SS13 drama and shitty servers. I miss the good old times when people would actually post stories of what happened to them, rather than talking about pointless things.

So yesterday I was playing as a medical officer. I let noone who came to medbay die. Saved the guys who got into critical health, sent the dead guys to genetics/robotics.
So I did a pretty descent job by my standards. Eventhough I almost got killed once by a traitor, who was trying to get at the head surgeon with an E-Sword, and who decided to get rid of me as well because I was a witness. Luckily he got interrupted by another medical officer, who saved us before the traitor could finish us off. The traitor got arrested, and got sentenced to death by the captain.
Then space madness broke out on the station, and in no time medbay was crawling with wounded. Since the other medical officers were dead or m.i.a. I was left to handle the situation by myself, meaning I had to apply triage. Since space madness is airborne and uncurable, I took the infected and put them in quarantine. I treated and healed the rest.
Shuttle docks, round end, and whadda ya know. Some dickhead is whining all over the chat at how terrible medbay was, because we left his infected ass to die in the quarantine room while he was at critical health. It really sours your sense of accomplishment. The countless people you save don't matter shit, but the one guy who's life slips through your fingers will haunt you and call you a shithead.
TL;DR People don't appreciate good medics.

Yes, that was a truly awe-inspiring story, keep em coming man, you always have interested tales to tell.

I once built a ripley, named it Ripley Hood, and used it to drill into the vault and mint, filling the cargo compartment with gold, silver, and platinum coins, and distributing the wealth as evenly as I could among the station. Security did its job and chased me around, between my armor and threatening to use the drill on them, I was able to hold them off until the battery ran out and the shuttle came. Security cuffed me and dragged me to the shuttle in custody, without infinibrigging or spacing me, and with only one smack with a stunstick. Best SS13 security ever.
Another time I built an odysseus just to try it out. I couldn't figure out how to load the needle gun, so I used it as a vigilante mech, saving pun pun and detaining people in the mounted sleeper. The clown grew a couple thousand bananas and put them all in the hallway to the shuttle so I was giving rides across the banana wasteland. I tried to apprehend the clown but he was too fast. The clown ended up almost killing the captain but luckily I was there to save the captain, stabilize him in the sleeper, and haul him into the shuttle in the nick of time.
Being a broboticist makes for good stories.

A big yellow mining mech thats only occasionally used for mining, as it has pretty good armor, a hydraulic clamp that can be used to squash people like bugs and a drill that can drill through doors and gib people in seconds.

Spawned as the Captain.
First signs of revolution I try to kill some revs, that fails and I retreat to the Bridge.
HoS and HoP already there.
HoS and HoP leave and probably die.
I stay and try to outlast the revs.
They thermite through the HoS office and try to attack.
I nearly die to some chemicals in a fire extinguisher but thanks to some tricordazine I manage to heal myself and escape through the brig and HoS office.
I steal the ID of an assistant and try to find a good disguise.
I find the clown suit, dress up and hide in the station.
Enormous radiation wave hits and I nearly got caught outside.
I manage to hit the time limit while wearing a clown suit and hiding in the maintenance and win!

Then if he was blatantly ignoring the law without stating why, contact him using the admin commands and ask him why he's ignoring them? If he gives a "I don't want to follow that law" then deal with him.

I can imagine it will still be a while, the spriting contest is picking up speed but they still have to actually code the thing, then closed testing/fixing/tweaking etc., then it gets here.

Needless to say there was a lot of dunking involved.
No one kept score and this round is still going on, but afterwords some Botanist brought dank, and we had dank and dunk, and the world was good. Then for some reason we dunked a security officer, kinda of a dick move but hey, and now the b-ballers are starting a riot.

what does that mean? /tg/ just codes their own shit, they don't base it off other servers. (what I mean is, they don't copy other servers stuff.)
