why the FUCK would anyone spend that much on a pistol? A high quality AEG I could understand, but the only time you probably need a sidearm is probably a CQB field that has those "only clear rooms with pistols" rules and the 15 feet rule

I don't see the point of having a super flashy pistol at all, even if it's your primary in CQB. It just makes it seem like you're compensating for something. Just a standard 1911 or something should be sufficient.

In my experiences, any decent AEG will destroy a pistol performance-wise anyways, so just buy a reliable pistol and spend the money elsewhere.

either try to get my hands on SURPAT for cheap or Flora, Digiflora, or VDV Flecktarn

Any of the other alternatives would be way cheaper than SURPAT to be honest. A SURPAT BDU alone costs $100 plus shipping from Russia. Flora is only $55 plus shipping from Russia

Then with the money you save from not buying SURPAT, you could get an actual Russian chest rig

Here's how it works in CQB:
If you're holding a corner, you want an AEG. The mag capacity and potential full auto make it, and size will hinder you less here.
If you're taking a corner, you want a pistol. You're not fighting a lot of people when you take a corner so mag capacity isn't so important. All that matters is the fact that your gun is maneuverable enough that you can go into nontraditional firing positions to hit from unexpected angles, as well as not having it poke around the corner and give you away.

If you're playing CQB, you almost always are better off taking a corner than holding a corner, because that's how games are won.

I've done those odd firing positions with rifles and pistols and there's not much difference imo. Pistols definitely have a maneuverability advantage, but you aren't screwed for having an aeg in those same situations.

Yes, I understand, but I can't justify spending more money on a pistol than my main gun. All I need is a pistol that shoots fairly accurate and doesn't break down often

will that not blow my 30 amp fuse in my aeg?
35C doesn't mean it'll discharge 35 amps all the time erryday, it just means it can discharge 35 amps safely. Your motor will draw whatever the fuck it wants out of that battery; if you have a 15amp motor, it'll draw 15 amps.

im thinking so, i don't need another god damn rifle.

But again i'm drawn towards Mk5's because of the mags. They're small, and hold the perfect equilibrium between a high-cap and mid-cap. I can hold 2 Mk5 mags in the place of 1 AK74 Midcap, but that would mean buying new pouches as Mk5 pouches would fly out of my integrated pouches.

It's Tokyo Marui brand, its been upgraded for use with a LiPo. Includes 6 mags, 1 highcap, 5 midcaps. Includes the default battery aswell. The bucking needs lubed and/or replaced. The selector switch is a little loose but still works fine. And the charging handle is missing. Other than that it works fine.
