well ain't I a goose
One day your map will shine above others, no doubt about it.
By the way, does anyone know why, when you make double door entry, the doors bugs, like when you open one, the other doesn't open and you can't close the one that was just opened.
Anyone know how to have your gun constantly lowered in hl2? seen in kleiners lab and black mesa east? google has failed me..
I need it for this
(Combine Dropship interior HEAVY wip).
Are those combines actually animated?
Oh my god that would be incredible if they had idle animations, waving back and forth or fidgeting with his gun. It would make the combine feel like actual beings rather than things to shoot at in half life 2.
i think if you set the ai_relationship to freindly, the gun should lower.
Npcs tend to cast sharp shadows, according to the shadows those combines cast i think they are props
No that's ambient occlusion.
Ambience test for a rural rail stop theme in Team Fortress 2. "Big time WiP"
The background needs more work. Also fix the grass on the firt plan so i doesnt look dark.
Yes, Most of what I was testing is in the foreground. The background is just a standin.
Anyway, I'd really suggest adding more blue hues to the shadows and overall tone to fit the skybox better. I know you were probably already planning to change it, but right now it looks like daytime at night.
I'd also tone down the intensity of the two red/green sprites on the little circuit box, because they unrealistically overlap and take attention away from the rest of the caboose.
That looks fucking neat.
Like Turtleey said, it would be nice to see a video of it.
Thanks for the help I have the gun lowered now. Here is a video of it so far, keep in mind its very wip the whole thing will fly through the streets of war torn c17 before dropping you and some of your troops on the roof of a building. To answer some questions the Soldiers are recompiled combine models on the citizen animations, the shadows are ambient occlusion not baked lighting and currently the sitting combine are static, this will change hopefully.
Needs env_shake, ride's way too smooth.
do those cliffs have displacements
I can't tell
Wow, for your second map this is VERY impressive
The water in the fountain looks off due to the reflections, and change the texture for the inside of the tunnel on the third picture to a brick texture.
