they said they don't want people taking their content, using it in and distributing it with their own mods, not exactly the same as making a movie with it.
BM:S is just a massive copy of HL1 anyways. As you don't need to have HL1 to play it but it is the same game and story. I doubt that would hold up in court.

Requires HL2, episode 2, Left 4 Dead skybox's, possibly counter strike source content mounted. Cordening sections off work but if I expand it too big it crashes, this happens where ever I place it. This is the second time I have re made this map also. Thanks.
Would I be right in assuming that we can use the model of Scout's mom in an entry to the Saxxies? The model isn't in SFM by default, but the model is used in Meet the Spy, so I'd think that they have commercial rights to it.
Anyone made some HL2 videos in SFM yet? I plan on doing so, but I don't know how well the citizen models work in it.
Oh and, is it possible to just make a map for SFM in the HL2/Ep2/whatever Hammer? Or does it need some special things?
Anyone else not able to get Stanley Parable maps to work? I've added the directory for the mod in the gameinfo text, but when I open the map it crashes SFM
My focal distance plane isn't showing up. Not when I press F, and not when I'm messing around with the slider. I've tried in the motion editor and graph editor and it's just gone. Does anybody else have this?
OH I have to be in fullscreen for it to work.
Is there a way to reload models in SFM? Say I've edited a texture since I've imported it, but don't want to reload the whole scene?
If you've edited the texture you should be able to do mat_reloadallmaterials in console

i've created (and it's nearly ready for release) a python script that parses a JSON feed, grabbing all the information needed to rig certain models.
this means that with one single script, it will download the latest rigging specifications from a JSON file, parse it and set up the rig without having to download any new rigging scripts, saving time for both of us.
https://dl.jimbomcb.net.s3.amazonaws.../rig_feed.json is a sample of the JSON format, IK rigs will be added tomorrow but that's the base format, should be easy enough for anyone with JSON experience to set up their own rigs if they couldn't do so in python before.

For some reason, any new wav file I make, they can't be played in SFM. They appear on the list, and if I extract the Phonemes, it does extract them. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hey guys, me again. One of the criteria for the Saxxy Awards is that the movie is uploaded to Youtube directly through Source Filmmaker. Does this also mean that everything has to take place within one map, or is there some way I can have the same project play across two different maps?
I know that the answer to this next question is most likely no, but I'll ask just to be safe: is there a way to import video files and have them be part of an SFM project?

I added GoldenEye Source to the usermod list. It loads the maps fine, but none of the models show up in the animation set editor. What gives? I'm thinking it might be the engine differences, but I don't know what to do about it.
edit: nevermind, restarting SFM fixed it
