    It says later this week. And today is the last day of this week. So yes, it does. Unless you had a game yesterday that I managed to miss somehow?

    Look what rolled into ArmA III lead developer's Deviantart account.. :D

    Updates!
    This week we're set up update our official website with the very latest information about the Arma 3 campaign.

    Ahead of that, here's a quick peek at the background and history of Limnos:

    "Amid the events of 2033, the island was defended by a weakened contingent of the Hellenic Air Force and Army - elements of which successfully repelled Iranian attacks for several weeks - before succumbing to occupation by the Iranian Armed Forces.

    In the weeks and months following the Jerusalem Peace Accord of 2034, which crystallised Iran's position in the Aegean, a small group of Greek forces established a resistance movement, covertly backed by the United States and Great Britain."

    New Details regarding the ArmA 3 Limnos Storyline soon™ on http://www.arma3.com/
    to put it in perspective, Takistan was 12.8x12.8 km, whereas Limnos is 30x30 km...

    ARMA 3 better have good voice acting.

    At some points in ARMA 2 some of the soldiers sound like 14 year olds.

    I think you should be asking WHY NOT. It's a video game after all, and having a story always makes the game more enjoyable, regardless of the genre.

    It may masquerade around as a military simulator, but that's what VBS2 is for. Arma games are exactly that: games.

    I call in a engineer to repair my transport helicopter and some teammate comes out of nowhere with a javelin and blows it to pieces. All that was wrong with it was the tail router was damaged and needed a small repair and all he said was "It will respawn"; and we are "13000" away from base and we needed a evac....

    I hate people like this    So when the other evac got back he was "injured" and left.

    I hope in ArmA 3 they add some sort of suspension/weight system to vehicles. The vehicles in arma are far too static and stiff, in real life heavy military vehicles tend to rumble around quite slowly and bounce about and whatnot.

    1:57 in this video is what I mean, although not a good example of it.

    Yes I remember, the BMD mod - however that just changes the height, it still doesn't convey the weight and presence that vehicles have.

    In other news, how do I get that Call of Duty-esque thing in the bottom right corner to show up at the start of a mission? That slowly types in the name of the mission, the date etc. I have been stumped for this for months.

    place function manager module
    Code:
    waitUntil {BIS_fnc_init};
    [str ("row 1") , str ("row 2"), str ("row 3")] spawn BIS_fnc_infoText;
    if you want date
    Code:
     str(date select 0) + "." + str(date select 2) + "." + str(date select 1)

    I actually really, really enjoyed the OFP Resistance campaign. The convoy ambush at the start of the campaign pretty much decided how well you'd do for the rest, in that you collected enough supplies and didn't run off after a failed attack having only sticks and stones to use in the next mission.

    Anyone know if there's a sale going on? I bought ARMA 2 a long time ago but my disc's become scratched and customer support hasn't responded in two weeks. I'm really interested in trying it again but I really don't want to buy it a second time for full price.
