When you are buying the DLC you are buying a quality campaign and textures . Thats why they give you the units for free.

Uh, BTR-90 vs LAV-25 and UAZ vs Humvee TOW. And the BMP-2 is so fucking slow, which is okay fighting AI but against players it's liable to get you killed more often than the lackluster armor (~nothing in modern combat) and additional ATGM. Besides, everyone knows both Vanilla and ACE have huge bias towards the M1A1.
if anything the Russians have it bad.
they're using updated/"modern" T90's IIRC
T-90 and T-90A, in my experience, have about the same armor, same gun + ammo, and same broken ERA. Meanwhile all the benefits of Chobham armor in ACE are exemplified and the ERA is practically ignored.

I'd really like to see a T-90MS Tagil in Arma 3. It would be in full service by the time Arma 3 takes place. Ofc they're making up some ugly railgun tank in its place though :((

I don't either but the M1A1 is fucking invincible in Arma for no reason. Again, both ACE and Vanilla. I guess since ACE uses some fudged armor values they just used WinSPMBT as a reference.

They're still good enough most of the time IMO. But that's only in the presence of infantry and motorized forces, which is what Arma specializes in, and for that reason I've never really considered going to a PvP tank match in fucking Arma 2: Infantry Simulator. Aside from that I know I couldn't get 9 people I actually already know (or 12 for NATO?) to form a platoon and I couldn't bear playing with people who are probably from 15thMEU, 7Cav, etc.

Oh my god do I WISH. I've tried to get Shtora to work so many fucking times, but it's outdated. Outdated irl and outdated in-game too, but exaggerated moreso in-game it seems. The ONLY ATGM it jams in the entire game is the M47 Dragon. That's it, it'll throw the missile straight into the ground as soon as you guide it towards the T-90A. I believe the AI will pop smoke and can sometimes break Hellfire locks with that, but afaik smoke is buggy with that and irl smoke launchers are discharged automatically. ATGMs (And MANPAD missiles, but that's another story) travel wayyyy too fast in Arma, so it's virtually impossible to use smoke to jam missiles on your own.
In short: It's an ACE feature but it doesn't work. And it'd be half okay if the ERA blocked HEAT projectiles like mad and absorbed a couple sabot rounds but it doesn't. In fact I don't think the ERA works at all, despite it being coded into ACE (SLAT armor works), unless you happen to shoot the frontmost part of the side hull where there's some dinky little appliqué armor.

I finished a crude zone capture mission with some vehicles, kinda like battlefield, could we try it on the server sometime (it works in sp and i spammed enough publicvariable to be atleast somewhat sure that it will work in mp)?

just a couple of things, i haven't tried the actual capturing of zones but they might work from the looks of it
you don't have to group the ace wounds module to group leaders, it applies for every unit on the battlefield, including AI
blufor = "true"; - means that you're assigning the variable a string, not a boolean. notice the difference betweenandCode:"true"The first one is a string and the second one is a boolean. It probably still works but you're doing string comparison which is considered pretty intensive in ARMA2, just a tip.Code:true

I was also looking for myself in there, but realized it was another playthough when you spawned bikes and my car and corpse weren't burning next to the road, over the hill from the first objective.
