I'm making a point of interest Chernarus map for DayZ using some scripty scripty ( createMarker function among some other shit ). Since the loot is not in random places at all, it's pretty easy to map the shit.
Shit is getting really serious :

Don't try to see something in this map, you can't see shit and that's normal. It's a script that place a marker at every object i specify. Since 99% of the loot in DayZ spawns in interiors, it's easy as piss for me to track every interiors in the game and make a king ass map.
Because of this the only way to see this in action is loading the custom mission in the editor.
Will try to drop the mission when i'm done.

Just remove the text from the markers, make a legend and people can follow the approximate locations

Also I don't know if you know but 1.5.1 is out now, all the servers went down. FR went first then every single one of them just vanished off my list after I went and updated.

Follow instructions in the op, join Facepunch squad, so FP tag appears next to your name ingame. Friend/Foe recognition system that works so far.
Copy/past .xml link into your player profile ingame,
where it says squad XML

I just mean, make markers on the side in the sea manually, put text next to them with what they are.
Then make so the marker script doesn't put text on the markers, and take a picture as the ones you did before, and you're set.
What is it that you're not getting?

God damn it, I see FR1 but not FR2! I only go on FR2, loads of people I've become friends with are there. Anyone from here who goes on FR2 and see's me, feel free to find me and join up! It's shit being alone :smith:

It's really hard your first time, but if you keep trying and getting better at it it gets really easy.
I remember my first time flying a helicopter in the tutorial, I couldn't fly straight without crashing into trees, much less landing the thing.
Now, for me flying a helicopter is really easy.

I got ARMA 2 (no OA) a few months ago, did a bit of the tutorial and played a few multiplayer games.
I reinstalled it today, and found that I'm terrible at combat, have no idea what half the buttons on keyboard do, or what half the icons on my screen are.
I was able to fly helicopters, so I've been flying people around for the past few hours.

1,242 PostsI'm having this weird glitch where everything isn't fitting on my screen.
It's showing up in the middle of the screen and there are black bars on the opposite sides.

I have Arma 2: OA and BAF on my pc and they installed as combined ops on steam.
I get a wierd error when trying to join a server though saying i can't edit the mission as it relies on downloadable content that has been deleted .chernarus and then all the names of the dayz files.
Do I need Arma 2 installed aswell to play this mod properly?
I have Arma 2 retail but those expansions on steam...will that fuck me over from being able to play the mod?
If so i'll need to install my Arma 2 retail which is effort !

Theres a bunch of launchers that let you combine Steam + Retail ARMA to get CO.

I just installed arma 2 onto my OA copy on steam. Works for me. I just launch OA through steam and that's it.
Oh and yes, it's saying you're missing the chernarus files (thus missing the ArmA 2 files) so you ahve to install arma 2 .

Alrite, installing Arma 2 to my AO directory now. Hopefully that will fix it. If not I will poop

Okay what the fuck, now I get kicked from servers saying that a load of files are not signed or something.
Lots of .pbo files in my Arma 2 addons folder...wtf?
