Why wouldn't it be used? I bet it's hardcoded into minecraft, and Jeb has already optimized both the client and the server.
For example I got about 120 fps on max settings in 1.1 and in 1.2 snapshot 7b, I got nearly 180 fps with max settings.
He has also optimized the saving of the chunks so that the world will take less space on the disk.

We have a problem, it seems as though a player has gone to Melefarne and made two holes in the wall.

Secondly, somebody has been stealing track from the railway.

Thirdly, somebody removed the protective fencing and torches at one point along the track, and when I derailed at that spot I was swarmed by several creepers, and consequently lost all my stuff.

Fourthly, I have a suspicion all 3 were carried out by one player in the last 20 hours.

I went to Dokvor. It was pretty impressive at first.

But then I actually got to the city. No offense but its chaotic. And whats up with these massive farms? Who needs THAT MUCH wheat/cactus/reeds.
Theres little things about the city that just urk me. I'm not surprised how popular it is with the low building regs and the new idea and design of how the thing is made. I guess it is kind of crappy to tell people to build a certain way and within a set block radius in your town which has been the trend lately and if it doesn't meet standards, its completely removed.

Is the servers boarder being expanded once 1.2 comes out so we can search for new biomes?
I call creating a massive jungle city with each house interlinked with each other using ladders and bridges. I've already started doing stuff like it in creative mode and its surprisingly easy and looks nice and leaves a lot of room for creativity since its open air.

You use clutch right? You need it to switch between gears faster and start up faster.

Any HD or "realism" pack at around 64x64 or so should do. Anything above that and you'll start to get some massive jaggies.

Banned Iliopoulos1 for one day until 25th Feburary 19:00 GMT+0 for random grieving of MrConor's rail line and the Dokvor automatic melon farm. Some glass on a parallel house as well.

I've fixed what I could on the farm while investigating, I don't think it's how you guys made it though.
