I love this server. Just made a bridge overseeing Aille Catrach (Still not done), hopefully I'll expand it more when I return. Got to say I finally found an MC server I'm really happy with.

Good idea, I made a system for that before which I can just enable again.

Could someone get the coords of Torvus and post them here? It's just off the coast of spawn, a big tower and underwater stuff. I'm still gone for a few more days, and my phone doesn't play nice with the Carto. At this time, we have enough residents to be considered a city, and the creators/administrators of Torvus are DrCow and myself (although if only one name fits, just put "Brimco").

Neddix, next time you or any of the Cordova crew are on the server, would you mind taking a look at some alternate lamp post ideas I set up? They're near the main bridge into the town, beside the mine entrance. Just put a sign up next to whatever one you like most, or tell me if they all suck.

Took a break from blowing out more of the hole to modify my grinder to sort mobs. Only problem is that creepers seem totally immune to cats, so they mix with the skeletons if I'm at the collection point. This also makes the new record farm portion of the grinder hard to use.

Try this design; have mobs going down a tube, and a villager at the end that is not-accessable but will tag the zombies. Then, have snow golems tag the skeletons and creepers. If it's done right, the zombies will go straight for the villager, while the skeleton and creepers go left and right because of how they're tagged. I saw it on a docm video.
That "large biomes" world type looks like just what we need...
One thing I'd love to see on a future map would be an actual climate. As in, the extreme z coords of the map (extreme north and south) would be mainly cold and snowy, and the origin (x:0, z:0) would be like the equator so would contain a huge desert, with jungles either side.
The world isn't going to be reset, and we already have huge biomes.

The client and server API is one and the same, Ralle, because SSP and SMP are the same.
That was one of the reasons for the merge, was so the server modding API would work on the singleplayer game.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about this. There's always a server and client part of a game, thus there's 2 APIs, and with the server API you could do pretty much what you can do with bukkit right now while the client API would allow for more visual stuff like custom GUIs/models/textures etc etc as well as sounds and a multitude of thing you can't do from just the server.
I assume the server has special generation, all the terrain looks amazing :v
Yep. Flubbernugget tweaked the terrain gen for this map, so we've got deeper oceans, higher mountains, and all sorts of strange and interesting modifications.
Anybody have a new-ish town that's looking for players? This is probably the only decent server on FP now.
There are guest rooms available in Jeziburg if you're willing to help with construction (though it's technically not a town, rather a large keep)
yeah, no. 80% of the fun in minecraft is making your house. I'm moving to Jer's place.
Coming home tomorrow, good thing I like this server so much, Just Cause 2 Multiplayer is going into open beta. Luckily Torvus is just about done, so I only really have to worry about getting people in the districts.
That said, I want to build something big at spawn. Dont know what yet.
