I was listening to Audio, Video, Disco the other day and I came to the realization that Newlands is supposed to be a montage song for an 80s movie about 15th century explorers.

I doubt there's any meaning behind any of the songs, they openly confess that their music is "simple" and "not very deep", I think they just focus on sonic and listening quality rather than toot some meaningful horn.
