Has anyone worked with MrWhite's E2 transmission he has recently released? I've been using it quite a bit and learning from it; at the moment I'm trying to add a few more gears but I'm baffled as to how.

Also, I might try it. I'm kinda tired so maybe this is a stupid question, I'm sure I'll find out by logging back in and finding 30 boxes next to my name, but is that working by applying a proportionate resistance force to calculate torque and then using a ratio of RPM?
I had way back when been using a transchip which just used a fake engine that had to be linked (like ACF engines) but offsetforce to simulate torque. One of those as-you're-building-it "oh cool this'll be great and awesome" followed by disappointment. Oh and karbine is there a link to emp_mvalley? If not can I upload it?

Realistic AA Cannon.
Incomplete list of most important features:
* Everything that's supposed to be animated is, (including the flap thingy above the barrels, gun recoil, and muzzle flash)
* You can set the det time/distance manually or switch to a mode where that's determined for ya
* Automatic mode that's actually really cool and realistic
Once i release it on wire mod.com (not sure when) I'll probably stick vid and show off some of the cooler features that I have planned and the ones i didnt put here.

Hmm as an WWII tank builder i think i should give you feedback on this one :P
Finished! 46 tons, five turrets, 30km/h, 10* per minute and large amount of the Russia. It has two seats, one for a driver, one for a gunner. There is a chip which controls which turret can shoot (so turrets wont waste ammo when the target is not on their side).
First of all, nice look. Makes it intresting to look at and has quite some detail on the outer sides.
Nice addition of the red russian star on the sides. and ofcourse the little stair's on the side displayed in the photo's. Also i like the cam switch, got that aswell on my Stug III and Tiger.
Though:
- Shame you didn't use any tracks, this loses a bit of realism. Might be an idea to work on that next time.
- The turrets look nicely though still a bit poofy if you look at the real thing, yet props are precious so i get why it was done this way.

Still being busy now-a-days and not yet started to build any tanks yet, so yes please do be so kind to give me tips on wich tanks i should try.
Ofcourse it is required that they arn't made yet, i dont want to knock anyone of their thrones. after all we are a community, not race participators.

How are you able to get such high speeds out of your engines? Mine always seem to max out around 30-40MPH.

hm, made a little go cart today, (first smooth car!)
and whenever it hit 76km/h, it would jerk a little and then slow to 73, it wasn't limited on rpm, it was in 5th gear at 5k RPM with a redline of 6500, it did it in 6th gear aswell... I tried changing ratios... now I'm like, wat do?

Gearbox might be being overtorqued (If this is a matter of ACF engines as I believe it is), try larger size

I don't expect to get PC help here but it's pretty GMod related. So I have my GMod running in a tab in windowed mode. I go out to Chrome to play a song or something and the second I go into GMod again, everything stutters. Windows stutters. The whole thing stutters. FRAPS and net_graph says I run at 299 FPS but everything even the Windows taskbar feels like going at 10-20 FPS. It's a pretty annoying issue as it doesn't always go away fast. It mainly happens when I have some stuff spawned or if I'm on a server.
Does any of you guys experience that? This is probably the best place to ask as we all use GMod here.

Try "Alt+Tab"ing into Garrysmod instead of clicking into it. That's the only surefire way I know of to make sure that Windows knows what to focus on.

I always make sure to check the limits tho... anyway...
tried something else, made a new one with bigger wheels, 7L V12 Petrol, 520 torque, transaxial medium 4 speed, should be able to take 550, but when I get over 70km/h it feels like it's slipping all over, however.. when it finally gets to 99km/h it does the same kinda jerk and slows to 96km/h... and once it decided to flip on me too.
But I'll test it out further tomorrow.

Wheels could be loosing adhesion to the ground at high RPM. Toy with physprop_jalopytire and makesphere

Gentelmen. Behold! Another fucked up tank! M3 Lee. Only two turrets (this small on top is just a armored machine gun). 26 km/h, 30* per minute, 27 tons, very cute look.
For now it's working thanks to Simple Tank Chip V3, I will try to make version with a ACF engine and a gearbox (That means more weight, so I will need to sacrifice some ammo).

ACF needs an option for an input to detonate an ammo container.
Also, that's a nice lee, except for the suspension mounts.

I posted this earlier, but it flies well enough for me to enjoy it.
Basically this is another thruster-only plane, and I've again been able to balance the weights in such ways that the plane is stable enough to give it a realistic feeling of aviation. I wanted to make this plane a bit more steampunk/oldschool-themed, so here it is:
I haven't been able to implement a front propeller yet because of lousy constraints problems, but otherwise the outlook is fine. The plane is also almost lag-free since it is nicely parented, unlike my previous one...

Makes it look less like you're sitting in front of a turbine. I'd post a picture of what happens when you sit in front of a turbine, but it's very messy, and would probably get me banned.

the ACF tool, the mass tool or something that tells you overall weight of vehicle.
Is 51000= 51 tons? or is 510000 = 51 tons?
And for frontal protection, how much armour do you guys usually put on? 50 armour? 100 armour?

I was told 1000 was a ton.
As an additional note, I have been out of gmod for a while and would like to get back into it, any servers I should check out except GGG ( I have played there before, quite a bit)?
