Should I buy one like these? I really like it.
If it's an original, of course.

    M1911s are always fun.

I'm trying to take out the rear stock to my WASR-10 ak47, but it's jammed in there real good, and I can't seem to get it out. I've tried prying it, pulling on it while it was in a vice, and even trying to hammer it out. Anyone got any suggestions? It's polymer, not wood btw.
Can anyone help me with this? I don't really want to pay a gunsmith to do this for me, but I'd like to get the stock replaced.

The actual nazi ones are really rare. only 920 or so of them. The regular model 1914s aren't quite as rare.

Well the same guy is selling a Kriegsmarine version of it, only 180 pcs ever made. But I think I'm going for the wehrmacht one.

As far as I can tell it's just a screw that holds the stock onto the trunion. If you have already removed the screw then I would imagine you just need to put more elbow grease into it... other wise I don't fuckin' know.

Yah, I got it unstuck now, had to coat it in some remoil lube and take a hammer and screwdriver to it, it eventually came out. Got my SSAK slidefire stock installed, now to just take it to the range.

Considering saving up the cash to buy a Ruger SR-556, anyone got an opinion on the things?
I don't have a real good 'modern' rifle and would like to have a piston AR of some kind.

Course if I get one I'm gonna be carving some wooden grips for the pistol grip and lower/side rails, gun has got to have some wood on it.

No idea, but I tought I'd post this:

That shotgun is single-shot and the revolver is single action.

I thought this would be the best place to ask for opinions, I'm thinking of writing a thread with a series of extremely detailed posts on a few WW2 topics, as in, stuff the average "i played cod2 and CoH" guys wouldn't know about but would still hopefully find interesting. First topic would be US armour and TD doctrine/the Panther Crisis.

Good idea or will it be lost under a wave of "lol tiger is da bestest tank"?

Yeah apparently it isn't german because the waffenamts are missing, guess I'll skip this one, the chance that it was used by the wehrmacht is rather high though since it was manufactured in 1941 and the wehrmacht even used Norwegian uniforms.

From what I've read out of the box they have a crap trigger (stiff and somewhat unpredictable), changing out the trigger is going to be on the agenda. And also from handling them they do feel front heavy. Other than that, they seem to be really good.

There may not be an official record for it, and unless you set a standard gun to reload like a Brown Bess some guns can be reloaded faster than others just by virtue of their design or be reloaded with different methods such as pellets instead of loose powder or even paper cartridges instead of a measure.
Takes me around 30-40 seconds to reload my big Matchlock, never timed myself with it and I don't like to do sustained firing with it due to the possibility of the charge going off prematurely while reloading in such a big bore.
But someone using a Wheellock or any of the different Flint mechanisms would get a better reload speed than me because I have to remove my Match each time I go to reload.

Yeah I heard about that, the trigger is new to me though but it can't be worse than my Martini Henry, that thing has about a 20 pound trigger pull that downright hurts when it finally lets go and between my Garand and my Matchlock which weighs more than 26 pounds and is also more than a little front heavy I'm used to heavy guns, the SR-556 would probably feel like a toy in comparison.

Went shooting first with my class today, then with my Homeguard Youth leader.
    Was a fun day overall.
My Contender has some issues, like locking and the rear keeps becoming unstable.
But when I shot the AG-3 (Norwegian G-3) I had no issues with it. It's a delicious rifle to shoot.

While I'd personally never buy one, the idea of the Contender is neat. Quick swaps of barrels and you've got yourself a different firearm. Let the man have his fun.

I'm pretty sure the boresnake will work just fine. It seems the primary point of concern is diameter, which matches in this case.
