Well, skyrim being added soon. Sounds interesting.

Well I wasnt sure if I should repost this since the old thread went down (I was literally the last post), but svdl just did it, so...
Oh man this is beautiful. When I look at my Engie, I always thought "you know what he needs? A damn sexy pornstar moustache"
If any Decal-able item were to have any form of transparency, it should be this.
I'm inclined to agree. Sure, I love decalable items, and this is awesome, but with that many stickers, someone can put, say, solid red on their sentry and commit to blue team, and get a good number of cheap kills.
..or put cocks on it
In all honesty, by the time you get a clear view of the sentry, you're already dead.
Maybe we can get Svdl to make some screenshots of a Blu sentry with Red decals from a distance.
Good point. My suggestion I forgot to make in my last post is to perhaps not have so many stockers, maybe one or two. Because instead of a solid color, a more likely outcome for players would be a really cool, or intricate design, which will (even if a second) distract from the teamcolor of the sentry
Again, I love the idea of blinging out my Sentry, I just think there is too much of a good thing, if you get me
Napy noted to me that there's no character limit if you use the browser based editing
so now you can write short stories or have walls of text to make a nice cozy barrier between images of the item and the comments.
Makes it nice for non-model things though that have a change-log

the workshop is just an upgraded (and better) Contribute website.
Valve still puts out items and weapons at pretty much the same pace they always have, people just don't notice because they're in piles with many more community items, are are promo items.
Why would TF2 die? CS is still being played, from its release back in 2003. That's almost a decade.
Talking about the contribute website, what ever happened to the community gallery and its submission page?
Um
Isn't that what the Workshop is?
Let me make it more clear then: Avatar gallery.
The place where kids with mspaint can put their scribbles and gmod poses.
I still have a nice stack of painted pyro avatars with various hats on my hard drive made specially for the gallery :(
Where's the submit button?![]()
oh yeah, that was through the contribute site wasn't it vv
Edited:
also the workshop appears to have an add to favorites button now that does nothing
Edited:
which sucks because I think it's replacing the subscribe button
Transport Tycoon also, and that's almost two decades.
And there's not even anything like "Meet the Train 213"
This just got in.
also it only had 246 ratings but whatever
ratings really dont matter.
if it catches valves eyes they go for it anyway
Same guy who made the recently added Demoman lamp. Kinda unfair to other contributors (COUGhdafoj) but nonetheless I wanted this one to get in, so yay
edit: jk about same guy
Yeah, it looks cool and is a great idea but it seems like the texture or something got butchered along the way.

It looks like they screwed up the smoothing groups.
no it's not that's Proof
Oh woops you're right, sorry- I thought I had clicked on his other submissions and I saw the lamp next to the new one
So hey, I've got a question. I've just submitted my first paitable hat...as in I set it to be paitable in the Itemtest. When i checked the VMT i saw that there are no lines for the coloring and just a comment: "TO DO". I'm confused...are we supposed to do that my ourselfs or it's ok and we can submit it like it is? (i did it anyway since my attempts to do it failed miserably.)
Also, this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...tails/?id=6594
So I go on the workshop and see this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...tails/?id=7135
It's funny, really, because he's trying to get the Three-Rune Blade submitted. It's also funny because the texture is something I recolored a few emporiums ago.
So in reality, he didn't even make the reskin.
Gotta love it when they say "yea, it took me forever to make this" when they didnt do jack shit, even the file size of it is 0. Reported their steam account
So I'm trying to make a new particle effect to put into TF2, but the render function I want to use isn't shown in the particle editor. Is it just not available for TF2?
I'm using the particle editor from putting -tools in the TF2 launch options. Not sure if that matters or not.
I found a little something while Googling:
Just a cool note, in the particle editor there is an... interesting renderer. It's called render_blob. It's how Portal 2 is doing the paint effects. However, it's odd that it (the particle editor) can't open any particle system but you can make them just fine. It would be nice to see the old editors updated to the newest version. --Foda 23:58, 19 July 2010
Somebody also said it was used in Alien Swarm, so I'm going to search for that particle system and try opening it in the editor.
Hi, that's mine.
What makes me confused is that Team captain gets in, and it's m.bison's hat.
Well, the Team Captain looks good on it's own, even if you don't know who M. Bison is.
You need to have watched Dexter's Laboratory to understand/like this.
That's the most I can say to explain Valve's reasoning.
It's not like M. Bison was the only person to wear a hat like that, but they got the reference.
