I found Nobz, the basic ones and I think shootahs, to be ridiculously easy to kill by using the AoE attack with the chainsword to instantly stun them, not sure if this works with other AoE attacks or on difficulties easier than Veteran though

IIRC, in the books they had starships and lasers.
So the nids got the starship bit right, in a way.

It's funny because in our Dark Heresy group, as a psyker %90 of my time is dedicated to healing.
But seriously I had my ribcage broken open by a power fist and managed to fix myself in one go.
Controlling bleeding is probably very easy considering lower mid level psykers can regenerate lost limbs with time and concentration. So a psyker who lived long enough to become an Inquisitor probably has a few tricks up his sleeve.
Ironically, the bugs used a lot more specialized infantry and actual tactics than the humans.
Edited:
And the laser bit right, somewhat. Barbed Stranglers have to count for something, eh?
The way he just quickly said "I am psyker I control bleedings" was more than suspicious though, in my honest-as-fuck opinion. The line itself was just so bland.
In terms of how it fires it is correct. A Bolter has never been described as having full Auto fire as far as i know. Burst fire and single shot is all i've seen. I'm not saying they don't or can't have it though.
In terms of power the Dawn of War 2 Bolter is terrible, but that's due to balance.
Seemed pretty accurate, although it sounded very weak.
I figured that something was up as soon as I saw the Inquisitor, with the TOTALLY NOT symbolic slashed =I= logo on his chest.
In the books they didn't.
So i'm fucking around and getting used to modding Retribution.
I'm surprised that worked
EDIT:
Just tried it with tyranid weapons.
oh boy
If you play spehss mehrine on the hardest difficulty it isn't SO bad because if you're not careful regular boyz will fuck you up, which is true to tabletop, and 'ard boyz will fuck you up, and nobz will fuck you up.
I mean it's still as if someone was rolling all 1s all day and someone was rolling all 6s all day... but it's more realistic than easy where you could piss orks to death
Considering Tabletop is hardly true to fluff at all, I tend to play it on easy, because it gives you that super human awesome feeling.
fixed that for you
No you didn't.
You do know that Matt Ward only recently began to mess up the fluff (which i ignore by the way)
Speaking of Space Marine, as soon as I saw the Inquisitor have this angry outbrust right at the beginning, where he punches the console, I knew he was a traitor. I just knew it.
The Cure hairdo didn't help either.
I knew thet the inquisitor was a traitor because he was an inquisitor, no seriously, If there is someone to be not so easily corrupted, It WILL be him
Guys, I need a book to read. Give me your best recommendation, preferably something Space Marine related, or Chaos. I've just finished Hammer of Daemons and it was a bit meh.
Speaking of books, I just finished "Descend of Angels" of the Horus Heresy series, and I'm seriously wondering what the point of the book was. It hardly described the Primarch of the Dark Angels, it didn't show anything Heresy related, it only gave some backstory to some Librarian and his cousin.
Was a good read and all, but pretty pointless IMO
Soul Hunter and Blood Reaver
Well aware of that but I don't subscribe to the spehss mehrines are best mehrines fluff which you apparently do. Maybe I'm stuck in the 3e mindset of 4+ chopps but I don't even know what mindset you're stuck in.
Which first?

Are any of the Ultramarine books decent?
I just had a 93 minute game of annihilation in Retribution. It was me and a guard player VS two CSM players. It ended in a stalemate so me and the guard player conceded it since it was draging on and it was obvious no one was going to win.
Soul Hunter first.
Tabletop =/= fluff, never has, never will, Not even Comparable. I'm in the mindset of Space Marines being 7 foot tall, genetically engineered post human supersoldiers, who have pretty good equipment and are pretty damn good at what they do. Not the best, but pretty high up there, but still not unbeatable. Matt Ward just takes that and turns it into the most terrible fanboy nerdgasms possible.
Just because I subscribe to Space Marines being pretty damn tough, doesn't mean I subscribe to, or agree with Wardism.
Same happened to me after reading it, I was confused as to why the hell it's in the HH series.
And apparently, there's a sequel to this book later on the HH, called Fallen Angels. So I guess we can look at it like the first book of the HH, it just sets the path for later events, but going back through history like crazy.
Helsreach is pretty good. It's got Black Templars, who are the most metal of all chapters.
it's still nothing special
I won like 9 games in a row against free weekenders and my mate, then on the 10th I got paired with the worst Tyranid player I have ever seen. It was on high resources and he built literally no AT units. He just spammed Gaunts and Warriors and when a group of Predators sped to his base he just carried on sending his useless horde to the enemy HQ's. I came close to beating a Chaos Player but the fucking tank AI is hopeless at times, and it decided that it would point its weapons at anything other than the target and drive as close as possible to the HQ building.
I finished making my army list. Would be neat if pepole who know more than me would say what im doing wrong/right.
here is the list
HQ:
Not Predo Kantro 175
TROOPS:
Tactical Squad Whit Flamer and missle launcher(sergant whit chainsword/boltpistol) 170
Tactical Squad Whit Flamer and missle launcher(sergant has power fist/boltpistol) 195
Transport:
Rhino whit Storm bolter 45
Rhino whit storm bolter 45
Razorback whit twin linked assault cannon 65
Elites:
Terminator Squad (1 Assault cannon 1 chainfist)235
Sternguard veteran Squad(Sergant/w Lighting claw+boltpistol,4Combi meltagun)
Heavy Support:
DeVastaro squad(2 Heavy bolters,2 Plasma cannons Sergant whit Chainsword/boltpistol) 170
Land Raider prometheus 240
TOTAL:1500
Sure they're damn tough, but they're not tougher than a nob, they're comparable to a boy, but then they get their fancy armor. They shouldn't be able to slaughter billions of boyz.
You won't need a second bolter on rhinos, when you move you'll only be able to shoot one. Spend the points from them on a powersword or melta bombs or something.
I just had the strangest campaign game ever. It was mission 2 of the Ork campaign, no mods in place, but Half the units were something else. Most of the Storm Troopers were ogryn or Zanthrope, Heretics were Gene stealers (Their arms atleast). Havoc were Eliphas and guardsmen were fire prism. I'm confused.

The storm bolter is the only weapon on the rhino anyways. So atleast it has some shooting capability.
The only thing I know about Final Liberation is Holt
*smack*
COMMISSAR HOLT
Choose your next posts with exceptional care
Holt knows how to slap a bitch!
You'd hate Brothers of the Snake then.
And they're more than a match for a boy, more comparable to a Nob, Don't forget that by the time they reach Assault Marine Status (Codex wise the first thing a marine does after being promoted from a scout) they've already had decades of training and experience as a Scout, by the time a marine reaches Tactical Marine Status, thats probably 50+ years of constant training and experience right there.
And you play a captain in Space Marine and according to his service studs, he's been serving as a Marine for at least 100-200 years. Of which most of it is pretty much either constant training or combat.
Also, for all that GW push Ultramarines forward, they didn't half let them get mangled in Chapters Due, nearly half the Chapter is dead at the end.
They go Devastator before they go Assault don't they? They hold the Bolters while the real Devastators blow stuff up.
Codex Standard is: Scout, Assault, Devestator, Tactical.
Too bad assault marines are terrible, same with devos, although devos > havoc any day.
2000 point game versus 'Nids Friday, same guy who had the Necrons where I think he was using 4+ resurrection instead of 5+, and it's his first time fielding 'Nids.

You should read over the 'nid book again so you don't get cheated.
What are you fielding against the xenos scum?
