Better question:
Why isn't he using solely Bern?
I watched him blow apart 2 Chaos Dreadnoughts by himself with no assistance at level 10 on Cyrene.

Bern who is not using Power Fist is the worst Bern build. HERESY IS PUNISHED BY UPPERCUTS!
Retribution skill trees and armour/weapon choices were such a let down compared to chaos rising, most of the abilities could've been copy pasted across with a different skill description and i'd have been much happier.
I hope you guys like Nurgle.

Trying to find a color to match the sand well
I remember during the battle against Kyras, I massed a bunch of Imperial guards and had them bayonet charge him just for the epicness.
Agreed. I just don't get why they took away a lot of the customization. I miss seeing the actual variety in armor, being able to choose both my melee and bolt pistol, etcetera. It was a bad move, imo.
The only heroes I brought along to the final mission was Castor and Bern.
Any suggestions on how to paint these better? I've just started into this whole painting thing (these are my second unit), so any tips are appreciated. I really hate the way the hair looks, so I plan on repainting that with something like snakebite leather when I can get some.
Yeah, I know my camera sucks.
Thin your paints.
Now since this thread includes fantasy warhammer as well, are we allowed to talk about GW specialist games?
Because I fucking love Blood Bowl!
My Chaos Minotaur got doubles on his first level-up roll and I picked "Pro" for him. Pro Minotaurs are the best Minotaurs. Especially when they have Claw and Juggernaut.
This thread has been kind of quiet lately...
So, I have decided you guys should be allowed some insight into Aurelian, I'll type out a single chapter, but I'll leave it up to you exactly what I tell you:
Agree - the intro - Lorgar's realisation of what Fulgrim has become - and the end of the book which involves him a Long talk between the two Primarchs with a twist
Disagree: Lorgar's encounter with the Avatar (not much going on here I'll be honest)
Funny: The fate of Argel Tal (Main character of The First Heretic), this one is short.
Winner A meeting with Magnus, a discussion of daemons and other magical things
Zing - A battle with a rather important Blood Thirster - short but very very sweet
Informative - A meeting with a champion of Tzeentch which involves all sorts of paths and futures that may or may not be (involving Lorgar V Guilliman)
You all have till monday evening to decide
Easiest way to beat Kyras is with Chaos.
Just let a Great Unclean One fight him in melee, let the rest support, gather heretics and let them woreship Nurgle to keep everyone healthy

i don't even
one of my small units got knocked into the waterfall pit inbetween the cliffs, and the baneblade sat there and shot at it for like 5 minutes before turning around to go to the next ambush area
tyranids are so boringly easy
Anybody else still hate the newcrons?
I usually get used to new codex's and new fluff after awhile of disliking it, but the newcrons don't even feel like necrons anymore. Gone is the whole C'tan thing, but now it is GenericAlienEmpire768, theme: Space Mummies.
The reputation of team Black Legion echoes far and wide! When they talk about its bad ass leader, the man of indomitable pauldrons and heresy, they're talking about me!
Abaddon the Despoiler!
Now do a Guitar Solo!

Oh, wait...
Man the Tau Commander on The Last Stand is fun as hell.
Thats amazing.
Sorceror Masterrace, Letting the Galaxy Burn since M.31.
About twenty seconds in Paint.NET, most of which was waiting for it to open.
He meant about the other guy.
I switched from Necron to Chaos because I hate Newcron fluff so much.
Ugh, I spent a week preparing a competitive anti-Deathwing list to fight my biggest rival with, and then he doesn't show up.
I guess it means Ill probably get to keep the title of Store Champion for another month, after winning the last season.
I played this Ork player today instead and wiped the floor with him, partly because he put his Choppa boys in a Fortress of Redemption objective the whole match, leaving his only other troop choice was 4 Nobz (not even with PK's) in a BW.
In a 3 objective game where my side had two objectives.
I also beat him with ease thanks to my CC Terminators clearing out his Boys and Warboss, the fact he had no weapon with a strength greater than 8 other than his Warboss, who was camping with the Boys (bad move), and the fact that he moved his BW into the range of a Multi Melta, 3 Melta Guns, and my Typhoon Missile Launcher. He disembarked his 4 Nobz with Big Choppa's and got them to contest one of my objectives. They got gunned down to one unit and Helbrecht promptly finished said unit off while my Land Raider fired at the rear armour of the BW, blowing it up. All he had left was 3 Loota's by turn four, so he conceded.
I wish this thread was more popular.
It was pretty active for a while. Died down now though.
Emperor fuck, that helmet is painful to look at.
Legs are too thin, helmet is horrible, and you need to thin your paints.
How can they allow you to use Movie MarinesThose things are overpowered as hell.
What exactly is wrong with the helmet?
Is it too grimy?
Badly painted and those eyes are horrble.
Yeah, the eyes are one of the things that aren't finished yet.
I think I buggered up in some places on my tau.
One commander - One has a controller type thing and a circle thing, probably a grenade. (don't shout at me, was only following the instructions :c)
There's another controller thing user in the squad, but he has a gun this time.
Both these two units have the pole thing.
On my battlesuit, I have the chaingun thing and the plasma gun type thing, and the circle thing and some antenna thing on the shoulders. (X thing is a technical term, really)
How bad have I buggered up...?
Came back from a game with my eldar friend who keeps beating me. We had a little fluff story that he stole my relic blade and we've been fighting him to get it back. That game we got back the first part of the sword. Basically what we did was send the Command team straight up, it gets shot and assaulted, Apothecary stood there the hole time not dieing.
Well he's the Apothecary, he probably does shit that would make the child of Charlie Sheen and Keith Richards go "Err, is that stuff safe?"
There was the fact that it made my friend so mad because he would sit there, adsorb 20 hits, survive them all then kill 1 guy and win combat. Then theres the fact that I have another tactical squad sitting right outside for when the apothecary dies. And the assault termies, tac squad, and two dreadnoughts sitting on his objective surrounded by the bodies of dead eldar. Oh and my objective was on top a pair of oil tankers which were mined by the scout bikers.
I feel like all the newcron haters just hate change.
One guy I know switched to warmahordes because of the newcrons.
He has a Tomb Kings FB army.
I don't even know.
(the four avatars above this post are xenos scum)
Edited:
He's not a Slaanesh apothecary.
Also new theory:
Charlie Sheen is a lesser daemon prince of Slaanesh.
Y/y?
He's a Chaos Thingy at most.
