I missed the spyder
I missed the spyder
Stalker looks like a defiler in terms of vehicles.
more necron stuff? I figured they'd be done with necrons for a while
on an unrelated note i've vowed never to listen to an audio book
about 1 minute in, stock sound effects everywhere...
Some audiobooks are iffy when it comes to background effects, some are awesome, probably the best is Thunder from Fenris in regards to ambient sounds.
They're fucking robots, why do they need controls if they can just plug themselves in?!
Even then, why can't they just use wi-fi, damnit!
Those new Wraiths remind me a bit too much of Trygons. The Triarch Stalker and Szeras look really boss though.
A non-modular design and lack of consciousness transfer capabilities are very possible. Long distance control is also iffy as it is subject to time delay, interference from both environment and enemy combatants, and additional redundant hardware for sensory input. As there is no weakness by exposing the controller due to their own toughness, this is not an issue.
I was just wondering if there were any Black Library audio books. I drive a lot and some 40k would be great. Are these coming out soon or what?
There's quite a few already, you may be able to pick up some from GW shops if not check either the black library itself or amazon or your favourite site.
Those new Necrons look fucking incredible.
Also my question still stands regarding the Salamander books. Any good?
hi how was this fun i just wanted 2 play some dow2 :((
grammars, probably
*lack of consciousness transfer capabilities*
*aliens who transferred themselves into robotic bodies when the universe was still young*
Yeah, okay.

Thoughts? Ive quite blatantly gone for a gunline list with absurd amounts of MEQ and TEQ killing capability because literally everyone at my local GW takes Space Marines and the variant codexes. If I end up against a player with a different army ill just switch to my Templars.

Check out the preview for Thunder from Fenris, a taste of the ambient sound effects, with more effects near the end.
Because all giant mechs need a character flaw! A weakness! The cockpit opens up sna- wait I'm not Otacon.
Necron vehicles probably has crew to repair shit.
Edited:
Mount one on the tank.
Feel bad for that guy. I'm guessing he's always the first casualty?
Didn't you post this exact same picture earlier in the thread? Like around the 20 page mark...

Just because they did it once doesn't mean they can do it whenever they want at will. The initial transfer of consciousness into an inorganic form is one thing, but moving it around between further inorganic forms is another, one they might not be able to do.
If I did, whoops.
Looking at the rules for the Deimos Predator Executioner, all I can say is: :flashfap:
from what i understand the necron were transferred into their metal bodies by a massive and unholy eldritch machine created with the help of the c'tan
Transferring a living thinking being into a machine body is hard.
Sticking a USB flash drive in a necron's ass and downloading his personality is easy in comparison.
Also am I the only one who thought about invisible necrons when I read
?
Also as my final point: There are scarabs and therefore even if it's not possible to transfer consciousness it's possible to make shit that can kill people and destroy vehicles and doesn't look human therefore the triarch can be a robot with no personality.
I know if I ever start a newcron army I won't put crew on my vehicles and that includes my transport barges, phasing in and out of the barge is the way to go.
Really, the one thing that new 'crons miss, is a giant Warrior head with spider legs, as a Heavy Support choice. With Gauss Eye Lasers.
That looks like a Resident Evil boss.
That just looks rather silly.
don't make me bring up the dreadknight
Someone somewhere in this galaxy is going to make that unavoidable joke of "Firing Lazors" the moment they see this picture.
FREEM!
I bet Creed could hide a thousand of those in a Guardsman's pocket, then upon the soldier's death be released all at once in a giant attack, mimicking a smashed pregnant spider.
Suddenly the enemy army is just one big mass of arachnophobics.
Even if they're tyranids.
Twin-linked, FOOL!
Dark Heresy. Thatguy123 has become a daemonhost. His flesh is charred, burnt to ash and cinder as though forged in the heart of a Hab-Fire. His muscles are snakes, twisting and turning, they wrap about his skeleton, keeping him aloft. About him, insects crawl from the shadows, statues and paintings weep blood, it drips upwards. Everyone can taste blood in their mouths.
This ungodly creature has manifested in a slummy apartment in the midst of a shocked Pheta Cell.
Fuck yeah Dark Heresy.
I'm not going to say sorry.
Edited:
Some things are worth fighting for.
Or running away from a daemonhost while rest of party deals with it.
Geza is no more. He has left the bloody puddle that is his body to become one with the Omnissiah.
"Die if you must, but not with your spirit broken"
I have fulfilled the divination - Geza
Now I have a fully auto anti-daemon shotgun. From this dude's dead body.
I kinda like the newcrons:

You treat that thing with respect dammit.
I even named it. Apparently Geza told me that it sounded like "Eat it" in Hungarian. Makes sense, as daemons will get a mouthful.
