the video would look better with a lot more action shots and less views of the map
imo the best part was those views of the shrike going through Katabatic

Are you seriously trying to justify the usage of unfair exploits?
playing, tcn/jug/pathfinder

Upgraded my tech's sentry and now i can use 2...much better and easier to defend generator...
I still don't understand, do I need to pay the full $30 to get the game when it's released or do I get it with VIP?
Grav Cycles are so underrated in my opinion.
My friend and I just set up some plans on how he's gonna cap the flag and I'm gonna bust him out of there with my cycle, so he gets the flag, hops on my cycle and due to the great maneuverability of the grav cycle, we managed to dodge all spinfusors and other attacks, hit a small jump where he then hops off my cycle and caps.
Although, that doesn't work too well if the enemy has our flag, but it's nice for escort.
Funny thing is, after a few matches with it, everyone on our team was on a grav cycle.![]()
the game is going to be f2p iirc
I use a wallhack because I still have to aim at people.
Most the maps are still really flawed.
Katabatic is pretty good.
Crossfire wouldn't be so bad if the bases were further apart and it wasn't so llamatastic.
Bella Omega, I think, was much better in last version.
Arx Novena feels like lots of the map is wasted.
Dry Dock has to be the worst though. It's such a pain in the ass getting rid of the people spamming your base from the huge cliffs, and having a gigantic hill leading right to your flag pretty much eliminates the need for routes. That tower near your flag does make for good capper mortaring practice though.
Katabatic and Arx Novena are probably my favorites simply because of how decently symmetrical they are. But out of the two I prefer Arx Novena because the entrance to the generator-room isn't 2000 miles away from your base.
Crossfire is decent, if a bit small and bloody. Hard to defend.
Bella Omega suffers from the problem of giving the enemy good gen-room acess points, basically destroying any hope of defense.
Drydock can go fuck itself. It's just a endless wave of Juggernauts sitting on the hill and spamming MIRV's.
i dont need to justify anything, im just saying comparing it to something that basically plays the game for you is retarded
Edited:
katabatic isnt symmetrical at all...
katabatic is fucking awesome + the best if u wanna go fast
drydock is fun as hell and its also the map that onyxheart originally went fast on
bella omega is fun to pay juggernaut or raider and wreck the enemy gen
crossfire is kind of boring
fuck arx novena
I'm probably the only one who likes all the maps
My least favorite though is probably drydock because its so lop-sided and people spamming from the cliffs is annoying.
Just bought my first class with XP. Then got owned several times while playing it. Any tips for playing Technician?
Don't rely on the turrets, they're there to help you, not the other way around. Defend either generator or flag, don't do both. If you're on gen, put up turrets so they both can hit people coming through the most likely entrance, and stay there to support them. Don't put them right next to the gen or they'll get grenaded. If you're defending flag, try to cover two different paths to or from the flag, so you can hit Pathfinders no matter which side they come from. Always rearm after dropping turrets so you have one in reserve you can drop the instant you lose one of your deployed ones. Beware of Infiltrators when repairing a generator, they like to hide in corners cloaked, use a quick burst of fire to check. Heavies will mess you up indoors, use grenades and turrets and keep your distance. Don't try chasing enemies who have your flag, make sure your defenses are up so when the flag is returned or capped they can't just do it again. Try to repair base structures when possible but don't focus on it to the exclusion of your gen or flag.
And get the Thumper ASAP.
Pretty much.
I can have fun on all the maps, but Drydock is by far the easiest map to ruin.
The indoors portion is too cramped and the outdoor portion is too easy to camp and cap the flag, and aside from the giant hill that occupies half the map there's nowhere really to gain speed. Not a good map. Katabatic is still the best IMO.
Katabatic would be my favorite if they didn't provide such a easy entrance for enemies to get into your gen-room. Seriously, the entrance even has a ramp so they can ski right on in.
Holy shit the -10% mass upgrade for pathfinder is amazing. Grenades throw you so much farther. I just got a 230 SANIC flag grab, when my previous best on that map was about 160.
Edited:
They're great for chasing down flag carriers on katabatic.
High speed point blank airmail suicides are fun.
This.

The lack of decent skiing opportunities in the midfield on Arx really kills it. Among my least favorite maps because of that.
I know this has already been posted, but these fuckers with their disco grenades really piss me off.

You are not invited sandraker.
My favorite map is Drydock, followed by either that bridge one or the ice one.
I'm bad with map names for this game.
Will this game be free when it comes out?
isn't it gonna be f2p with a cashshop
It's a bit like tf2, it's free, buy you can get a VIP account.
VIP at the moment doesn't seem to be doing anything though, they get the same XP as non-VIP
Are you using an xp boost? I think the vip boost gets disabled during those.
Pretty sure VIP get 50% extra/more xp.
That map with he giant slip'n'slide is definitely my favorite. I have these 2 routes that work perfectly every time for me.
Was that video of the support drop inventory boost ever made? I really want to know how to do that.
Just put it on the bottom of the hill and ski over it.
In global agenda VIP players get a 50% boost all the time, and if they buy a boost from the cash shop both of them apply at the same time. Since they are made by the same company (At least in name) I would assume that this would be the case here as well.
I haven't gotten my VIP boost since I activated my xp-boost so I just assumed that was the case.
And at least in the case of Tribes, the bonus is multiplicative, so it adds up to 300%
gotta earn exp fast

Those maps look pretty. :3
Oh god, Inferno looks awesome. I wonder what the utility pack will do? Time to save some XP.
