Is not op in any way but since the skill level of the player using the crossbow is so high I always loose when Im playing any heavy class.

The crossbow was made to kill the heavy in the flag.

Well if you like playing Tech, get the tech thumper. For the most part it's a straight upgrade over the Rhino (at least indoors, where the TCN is wont to roam), whereas the Pathfinder crossbow is more of a sidegrade to the spinfusor.

The crossbow is capable of instant kills on un-upgraded light armour classes whereas the spinfusor isn't, but the spinfusor has a faster reload time and travels in a straight line and can wreck base turrets. Also, self-damage boosting is less damaging with it.

Well there you go, it's a sidegrade. I prefer the crossbow myself though.

You have the shotgun by default so I don't see what's stopping you from trying. I haven't used LAR myself but the shotty is useful for finishing off wounded enemies who are close to you, and that's about it.

Funny thing I actually started using the shotgun again, after never using it after the LAR came out, and its a really nice gun still. Does nice damage and is hitscan, just can't get those clutch long range kills like the LAR, but I'd say its worth it for what it can do.

Depends on your playstyle. Vanilla doombringer has the chain gun and saber launcher. Basically you're hellish for anyone heading directly at you or in the air. He's very defense orientated.

Honestly, I prefer the brute since he can defend pretty well, and can play offence well. Very well rounded class like the soldier.

sunstar is such an awful map god damn

i don't know what's about it, but i can A: never get myself going fast and B: it's always a doombringer and technician fuckfest all over the enemy base

not to mention i've had a lot of bad experiences with pay2win kids on it (assassin skin and jackal airshot spamming, obv)

both of these are just bad experiences but the damage is done now and i fucking hate the map entirely

Doombringer is the most boring class. Hold down M1 and sit your ass on the flag all game. Tedious.

I've found I can describe the Doombringer as a burger restaurant franchise.

"With the doomburger, you have to make a chain on the flag and dish it out to everyone, maybe make a drive-through to deal with the fast ones.
