How would weeping angels work when you're facing the screen most of the time?

I would assume that it would be based on firing direction.
It's the idle direction (forward) that might be a bit of a problem, though.

I've played this game for 10 hours and I haven't beaten mom yet.
Am I just that awful or am I just unlucky?

I've played about that long and i beat her once. It takes time.

Took me that long to get comfortable beating Basement 2 with confidence, you're doing fine.

It took me 60 hours before I could beat the game comfortably every time I play. It's just a slog and slowly but surely everything will just click.

It took me a while to get used to the depths and the womb my first couple times playing
But once I got those down the game became pretty easy for me

No, that's one of Isaac's eyes. It'll probably function like Peep's eyes, though it might be completely different. It could be the trinket doing that or some other passive that isn't immediately evident, only time will tell.

Shouldnt it be spelled "catacombs" rather than "catacombes"
It doesnt look right. Not to mention my autocorrect tried to change it to catacombs.

Catacombes is the real word in some languages, including French, so I don't think you should mind.

Then I take it to school and beat it on the first try.

I used to have that with Super Meat Boy. I get stuck on some level at home, then I played it at school (with a controller, yes) and I beat the level I was stuck at pretty quickly.

Okay, so according to Edmund, he's not going to fix flying out of gauntlet rooms when the doors are locked, there's going to be a "Skatole"-like item for an enemy type other than flies, and he is looking into adding a Random character option.
