Just occurred to me that although I've only got 3 or 4 more items left to unlock (if that), I still haven't ever found Dr Fetus. Nor have I seen the bible in months and get chance to unlock the halo. Nor have I unlocked Mom's Contact.

not really sure how to best unlock these!

Apart from those I have to complete Sheol with Eve, Maggie and ???

For Mom's Contact, you need to pick up Mom's Eye (it allows you to shoot backwards) and a couple of Mom's items on a single playthrough.

But this essentially boils down to "play more"; mom's eye isn't a shop item (or is it? if it is I haven't ever seen it) so it's just a case of finding it. The rest of mom's items are pretty common so they're not an issue.


I just had the single most boring game with eve. I got to the womb before I decided I was having too little fun to go on any longer. I accumulated 99c easily, but had 3 shops in a row with Greed in them. I still had only 1 damage, 2 tears and accidentally picked up My Reflection. So altogether it was the shittiest round of BoI I've ever played.

I think some items like the noose can only be found in the secret room.

5th run, i kill mom and have awesome gear, satans room opens brings me to sheol (how the fuck is this even possible),I go to hell and come to satan and get killed on his 3rd form on 10% hp ALL MY RAGE

I would recommend doing Isaac playthroughs to help get the remainder of the items you don't have. Being able to reroll item drops is pretty helpful for that purpose.

Certain items are exclusive to the secret room. The 1-up, noose, liver, etc are from that list of 6 or so items that can appear there. I know that the unicorn horn isn't exclusive, but it can show up in there.

The devil room can appear in the womb 2 just like with any other floor. Instead you are sent to Sheol instead of making a deal. It's how I unlocked the Monster Manual before I unlocked Blue Baby

How come I should use Isaac to get the items? Do different characters get certain items at a higher rate?

You unlock Isaac's Dice and it let's you reroll equips you can pick up in secret rooms/devil room/Boss room/Shop. It can be useful but hurt sometimes too. Good for finding those last few items to get the 100% or just needing to find items to finish a certain achievement.

Once you unlock the dice Isaac starts with it so people generally use him to find stuff once he has it.

To unlock the D6, you need to beat Mom's Heart/It Lives as Blue Baby.

Have fun with that, it's a challenge on your first try because it's different from what you're used to.

Wow I got a 2nd undefined item in one play through. Probably because I have two batterys and i'm using the D6 after completing just one room. I've literally used the D6 about 50 times and i'm on womb 1

I don't know about you guys but I don't even take brimstone anymore. Makes it too easy and doesn't allow for some of the more ridiculous and fun tear combinations you can get. Fuck that.

Fetus in a Jar is so rare to get, though. I find it the most fun thing to do.

Thankfully he's making/made a character that starts off with Fetus in a Jar, so I can blow things up as much as I want, once I unlock them.

I like all the items like brimstone, chocolate milk, Dr. Fetus, mom's knife etc. because they change the way you play.
Can't wait for that new item that    instead of tears, you shoot friendly flies

Uhhh you can still do rapid fire if you just mash the fire key
