Whats the point of saying "Dark", Is it in anyways different from "warm"? The only time I've seen that word being used is in headfi, I've never heard the term being used elsewhere, especially to describe speakers.
can anyone recommend me some headphones please
Budget: roughly £60
Purpose: Everyday gaming and music
Music Tastes: Varies
dunno if i did that correctly.
you should be able to get some used m50s at that price. I paid 90 dollars for mine brand new, though you might not have the same luck as I did. They do come up at that price though.
Thanks for that. Ive purchased a pair of them, you seem to have a good general knowledge on headphones looking back in the thread. I trust your judgement.
Just popping by to say that my HD598's are still freaking awesome after 5 months. Although it's personal, I really like the sound signature of Sennheiser. For me, they're the best bang/buck ratio before diminishing returns set in. Anyone looking into the $150-200 range, I wholeheartedly advice you to give them a spin in your local audio store. You might just fall in love with the best pair of cans for an affordable price.
if its a trusted seller
gaming/listening to music (I'd prefer a headset unless theres a good/cheap mic)
litte bit of everything
Razer Orca, they are pretty good imo.
My orca's are breaking and I want a mic, I was looking at razer megalodon, I want decent looking headphones if I get a mic thats seperate. I just want really good sound quality
I didn't get what it meant :P
It means if you need isolation from outside noise, if yes then you want closed, if no then both open and closed is fine, open headphones tend to have better soundstage for games.
My X10's are here
Country: United States of America.
Isolation: I didn't quite understand this one.
Purpose: Gaming-General use.
Music Tastes: Everything but Dubstep and Rap.
Previous Experiences: Not good and im to lazy to try and remember them
Comments: I want something that blocks sound pretty well and fits on my ears nice
So the Superlux668b are out of stock on Amazon....Should i get the Samson SR850 or is there such a noticable sound difference between the two that i should wait for the Superlux 668b?
Purpose: Mostly for gaming, movies and music come second.
Music Tastes: Electronic, except for hardcore genres and dubstep.
Previous Experiences: Steelseries 5H V2s & Fatality USB headset.
If yes, then the Modmic + HTF600 combo is great for electronic.
If not then I have no idea really. Maybe some ATH M50's if they're cheap enough?
Lowest price on ATH M50's was 143.90€, could order if they're worth it.
I imagine they sound quite better compared to Fatality's HS1000?
Oh, you can buy the Modmic from their own site with Paypal.
M50's would shit all over the Fatal1tys. They probably aren't worth the €143 though.
I would advise that you wait until someone with more knowledge than me comes and give you advice before you purchase anything, as well.
You guys think the HFI-580 is good?
What else would you reccomend in the 50-200 price range?
I'm using dollars btw.
Budget: £50 - £120
Isolation: Closed ( I think )
Purpose: 3D blu-rays, music, gaming
Music Tastes: Dont really have any specifc tastes dont mind modern stuff or 80's, like to have a bass
Turtle Beach Ear Force X12
Comments: I would prefer a headset or a deacent mic alternative that hasn't got masses of cables ( I have a habbit of running them over or getting tangled up )
Was looking at: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/razer...gine!-the-best again another ?
Would prefer links to well known stores EG amazon, scan, overclockers, company stores ect. Ebay is a no
Has anyone listened to these?
B&W has really been hyping itself, you can even find these at the apple store now. Wouldn't expect much of them, the B&W speakers I listened to were the most overpriced and overrated pieces of shit I've listened to. IE 685s, 684s, cm1s and cm5s
Also... are there any portable "stylish" headphones out there with sound to match? For a moment I thought these would have been good http://www.aiaiai.dk/, but they turned out pretty unspectacular.
I'm looking for some on or around ear headphones, that i can wear on the go.
Budget: around €50 (or $50 because things generally are a bit more pricy here)
Country: the netherlands
Isolation: no preference
Purpose: listening music outside and on the move
Music Tastes: funk, jazz, rock
Previous Experiences: i own meelectronic m9's which are genuinely great, but i don't always agree with them being inside my ears. I have very limited experience with non-in ear headphones
Comments: they should be able to handle some abuse, off course i will take care of them but they will be used outside. Another thing is that they should look nice, preferably cover the ear, but not massive cans or skullcandy graphics. And last but not least, i'd like them to be able to fold up for transportation. (also they should sound nice...)
I've been looking around for a while, but maybe any of you can help me out.
klipschs are nice but I don't know anything about that particular model.
Budget: $300-$400 AUS
Isolation: Not fussed
Purpose: Music and movies.
Music Tastes: All genres - not limited to anything, need something versatile.
Previous Experiences: Sony MDR-XD100
