Crap, I forgot exactly how they handled that chapter. Well... I'm sure they'll at least show Sam killing the walker. But that's obvious.
stop confusing me with the books
Fuck, today, I wish I had HBO so hard.
So in how many hours does it start?
It hits a certain place hard. They make snowmans into sentries.
There's been summer snows in the North forever
5 or 6
Not to that extent. Blocks Stannis completely.
Well, I just learned I have HBO for free for a month. Now I don't have to wait for someone to upload it somewhere. Thanks Dish!
Dunno if this has been posted, but:
http://green-oval.net:9533/;stream.nsv
Open it in VLC's network stream. It's a stream of HBO Live, which will show season 2 episode 1 when it airs.
It's working for me?
Yeah, it just went back online.
How exactly does this work?
Some guy on /tv/ streaming HBO live until it airs.
Then I assume it'll work like any other stream.
How big is the file?
I have no idea, but it looks like 720p or 1080p so probably quite large
is anyone streaming the episode?
If start watching that link now will it be at the start of the episode??
No, it's a live stream of HBO live.
It's watching season 1 now, though.
when does the episode air in usa?
40 minutes
Your avatar properly conveys my excitement.
We switched TV companies, so we get 3 months of HBO free. Perfect timing.
So where is the episode going to be streaming? Any links would be helpful.
Edited:
Found this one.

Not sure if they're gonna do it on time or after the episode though.
It begins.
And I'm not watching. No streams are doing it live, only late. :(
The episode felt like it was only 20 mins long, fuck
yeah ended rather fast, differed from the book quite a bit (but then again I didn't read the first book and started the second on friday)
Hello there awkward sex scene, thanks for making an appearance
Oh god... so fast. Good start.
Wait, it didn't really differ that much. Some scenes were reorganized but it was pretty much exactly the same as the opening chapters.
Edited:
Also, highlights of the episode-
-Jamie Lannister meeting Grey Wind.
-The wolves, they grow so fast and so fucking awesome.
-Cersei slapping Joffrey
-The execution of the bastards
-Yet another member of the Skins cast joining the series
differences off the top of my head:
the imp didnt barge into a joust with his wildlings (his wildlings are kinda a big part); shae is with him in the hand's quarters and not off hiding in the city; joff's brother didnt joust; the queen really wants arya (maybe i havent read far enough but 244 pages and i havent hit that conversation of hers with little finger, if its in there); going to the iron islands was robb's idea in the book (or so he claims); was robb's idea to send his mother away from him in the book (here she wanted to leave); i dont think robb sent her to renly in the book either; the red lady made fun of the maester more and there was no sight of stannis' daughter or her fool; no mention of robb's lords leaving him to defend their lands; no mention of who Davos is or that he was out asking lords for help and they all said no; the night's watch didn't encounter an abandoned village though they mention it (and where i'm at they havent met that guy who marries his daughters (again, if its in the book)
not complaining, it's just i didnt read the first book and i was kinda surprised at how different it was. some lines are word for word from the book but they skipped a bunch
My sister was watching with me, primary objective avoid eye contact at all costs
Edited:
And my books arrived a week ago, started reading the first and holy shit it's awesome
Everyone else in the house is asleep.
Suddenly,
"AH AH AH AH AH"
They didn't show enough of Arya tbh, but at least we got to see Cersei work the hand a little

So yeah the killing of the bastards was quite brutal in my honest opinion.
Loved it. Nice set up with all the different kings and such. Joffrey is still a prick. Peter dinklage getting first billing and rightfully so. Good to see that they haven't removed the the warging aspect of the series
Please post spoilers in spoler tags... don't forget that it's one day later in the UK before we get to see it
Peter Dinklage can just walk into a room and captivate you with his performance. Such a remarkable actor, he deserves every award he gets nominated for.
