I use some extension on chrome that lets me download the file to MP4 straight from youtube, then I use that file and export the layers in photoshop and then I edit it.

I can't seem to find a way to send the file and it's not on the chrome store anymore because google absolutely hates it when people download from youtube (don't know why).
