I got to see that car the day before pikes peak, it was really impressive in person. Sorry for the crappy picture, there were people doing an interview in the way.

Not sure why, but 4th gen preludes have grown on me. Honestly I like the swoopy look compared to the other boxy preludes. Plus the suspension and weight distribution on those things are superb.
That prelude would look much better w/o that air-intakes

    Here's a little story:

I suck real hard with stickshift. I drove a few times in Long Beach and ran out of time, and it happens everytime.

I finished once with paddle gearbox, though.
I suck pretty bad with stickshift too, bro. I've been driving manual for about a year now in my Tacoma, and I'm always jerking and clanking that shit, I can never really get it right. Hill-starts are a no-go for me, I can't get it driving without rolling back down the hill too much, and using the handbrake is just asking for me to stall. My timing is just fucking awful. Don't even get me started with the performance side of it, my shifting is painfully slow and I can't get it any faster without being too hard on the gearbox. Ugh, at this point I'm just thinking of sticking with automatic.

AND, it is rumored the car will enter rally, and GT2 racing!

Maybe a model, but it was a scale model from Lancia...

    It's half Ferrari now.

Old one only had a Ferrari Dino engine, the new one had both chassis and engine from Ferrari.

That's great because it's a pre-facelift... Those were the sexiest cars. Then the millennium hit and... ah fuck it.

Pre-y2k BMWs all had a distinctive class to them; subtle yet striking lines and just enough visual 'pop' to turn heads while still not looking like an outrageous piece of engineering. Now every BMW has a billion different angles all blended into each other to make it ~aerodynamic~.

At least that's my take on the subject.

Also that bonnet looks retarded. Why not just have the whole plate come up as one piece... why cut off those last 7 cm?

I think it has something to do with pedestrian regulations, maybe having to have soft absorbent plastic up to a certain height or making up the part of the car that would impact a pedestrian. If the hood went all the way you'd be nailing someone in the thigh with a stiff(ish) metal hood.

The one before looked sort of off with the trademark "nose holes" grill, but this one is magnificent.
