Anyway to disable the CJ lines at the start? I've heard most of them all twice now, and it's annoying.
There's an option for that in Audio settings if I remember correctly. I'm sure I saw an option somewhere about this.

i was dicking around in the level editor and i noticed this when i was trying to find a clever way to force backtracing
i suppose it shouldn't be like this right?
It seems to be harder to make a good puzzle that doesn't play itself than to play a good puzzle.
When I build this one map of mine the little circle fills up and then nothing happens. My computer is still running slow as hell and portal 2 hasn't frozen, so I take it that means it's still building and that the progress circle is about as accurate as any other progress bar, right?
Ah, the "Twelve Angry Tests" series is really good. It's like a mini-campaign. Reminds me a lot of the original singleplayer. Well worth a playthrough, in my opinion.
That reminds me, they could have added so much more to the editor. Pneumatic diversity vents, fucked up turrets, crushers, etc.
Atleast the editor is moddable.
So, for portal 2, i get ALOT of lag, Especially with wheatly around, his speech will start late, then his body moves for an extra 10 seconds, Is there somthing i can get to fix this lag? (i can make a video if you want, i saw the post about this file for portal 2, BUT it was taken down becase of megaupload being shut down)
This. Also, there are apparently plans to expand the editor to have almost every testing element in the game.
It just needs more in the way of diversity.

I posted this question in the mad thread, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here, too.
I'm getting a lot of trouble getting my Laser Catcher to work properly.
I link my Laser Emitter, Laser Catcher, and the Laser Field together so that when the player directs the laser emitter with a Reflective Cube to the Laser Catcher, it's SUPPOSED to turn off the active laser field to move forward, but instead it keeps flashing on and off constantly and won't stay off. What's up with that?

Same thing happened to me, had to spend about an hour slowly cutting my map down to size...
I wish they had some sort of capacity bar so you know when you're nearing the end.

As usual whenever there is an awesome update for a game, it says "Preparing to launch Portal 2" and then it closes that, then nothing happens. I tried verifying, still didn't work. It's not even in the processes tab in the task manager. How do I fix this?
Anyone want to join me in my quest to make at least one map a day for an entire year? Big, small, dumb, whatever, just as long as it's even mildly fun or interesting.
It appears their small update today broke lights, at least sometimes. Save your map and wait for an update.
