Running a pure sorcerer build is hard until you hit Sen's Fortress. Then it gets really, really easy. Then, when you hit the Duke's Archives, it's downright overpowered.

I can't imagine myself playing a sorcerer without fully relying on Crystal Magic Weapon and/or Moonlight Greatsword, the spells just take ages to cast and are very situational when you want to beat the game.

Game Needs jousting, That would be fun.

On another note, I finally finished Oristien and Smough, Me and another broski fought through them. Now to kill the four kings and talk to Kaathe, Sucks that I can't place the lordvessel without losing Kaathe

You don't need to place it to warp around though.

Trying to decide if I should ascend my Darksword +10 to +15 or Lightning, hm. I just want a decent straight sword.

I was in The Great Hollow when I got it, and I had to walk all the damn way to Oswald. Made a mistake in Undead Parish (Firelink Shrine's Bonfire was off for particular reasons.) so I died and ended back up in Blighttown. Out of all the frustrations this game has given me, this one is the worst. So far, at least.

Depends, really. What are your stats? The only reason to do +15 (generally speaking) is if you have 40+ in whatever stat it scales off of (dex C str D i think) and you plan on buffing it. Otherwise Lightning will outdamage it.

Although for the Darksword I prefer Chaos, just because it looks cooler.

Just wait until you get cursed in Duke's and you can't use a bonfire to warp out. Accidentally did that on a low vitality build. Getting hit with an arrow while blocking was enough to kill me.

    Edited:

I think I'll make a build for the BK Greatsword. I NEVER see that thing.

I'll probably go with +15 since I can sunlight blade buff it but I think it'll do a lot less damage when unbuffed. I have 56 str, 26 dex, 22 int and 40 faith.

Sorry I fucked up my stats a bit, I'm SL 161 and I've been trying to get 40 dex and int to get the most out of Greatsword of Artorias. That's why my stats are pretty much everywhere.

I fucked up my stats on my first character, and that's why I started a second. I selected a build to work towards before even beginning so I wouldn't fuck anything up. Honestly it made the game a lot more fun.

If any of you see me (squirrelking on PSN) in the forest, I'll be up for any fun-time merriment. Hide and seek, tag, shield fighting, whatever. My current main is a 50 vit, 42 end (exactly S lvl 70, haven't buffed any other stats) using two Grass Crest Shields (one lightning+4, until someone donates a slab, one unupgraded), child mask, silver knight armor, black iron legs, havel gauntlets, steel prot ring, and cloranthy ring.

Grass Crest + Grass Crest + Grass + Cloranthy + Child mask? Can you say stamina?

I think I'll do this build next. I wanna be able to parry and clean someone's clock out with a single hit. Heh.

May switch out Havel's for Hornet Ring but I'll need to remove the gauntlets to be under 25% load

If you're aiming for parries just do a vit gouge with enough dex to use an upgraded rapier of your choice. 1400 damage backstabs and 1650 parries are fun.

Plus light armor/low poise + parrying dagger = REALLY dumb idea.

If you put chain armor on your torso you'll have a lot more defense and still have a fast roll. Not to mention a little bit of poise.

Probably because a great deal of players don't even know how to get there seeing as it's not an essential area to go to.

Ornstein's set is fantastic for the first and second playthrough, methinks. Granted, it can't be upgraded so eventually you'll need to switch to something a bit more scalable, but it DOES mean you don't have to spend Titanite chunks and slabs on upgrading armor for a while.

I paid for an xbox live subscription just for this. One of the better investments I've made this year (even though having to pay to play online in a game is horrible, in normal conditions). Dark Souls is just too damn fun.
