I'm getting cold feat on ordering that header. I think i'm just going to try and save up some money for a bit. I really want to buy a dirt cheap ninja 250, and spend subsequent money on getting it in riding order.
It makes me feel uneasy thinking about buying something that could possibly make my honda worse. I think I'd rather have my em2 factory and play around with the cheaper bike. I was just trying to spend this money on something big rather than burning through it buying food and gas.

I just really, REALLY FUCKING HATE Civics.
Everything else I'm a bit neutral. I don't really care for Honda as a brand, but I pretty much only really fucking hate one model, and like I said, that is the Civic.

I hate the look of them, their engine sound, and feel of driving them.
I remember through out my driver's ed class I had drive one through out my driving lessons, and I hated it. It was a new model too. Literally the only design feature I liked in the car was the digital speedometer. I hated how everything in the interior was ass backwards, like the steering wheel height adjuster being out of sight and under the wheel, and the confusing seat adjusters. The handling was very shitty as well. My current car, a 01' Kia Optima handles way better.

Newer model Civics are nothing like older Civics. They haven't been the same platform, even, since 2001.

I never cared for the handling of my mom's 2010, it's far to loose and the whole body sways around and the ass end slides out on you too easy. Taking a nicely banked slight corner in my local highway at 80-90 gives me as much struggle as trying to do it at 110 which I've done quite a lot in my Integra that only scares me if there is another car in it where as just going around it feels terrible as the whole car tries to bounce away traction.
Trying to go up a winding road isn't too bad but the numb electric power steering makes the slightest bump change your direction. Coming down a onramp/offramp which winds around like a clover leaf at more than 30 induces oversteer which is ridiculous but is sometimes fun since lolcivic.
It's not a terrible car, the R18 goes pretty quick and the stock tires are easily chirped with the automatic from any hard acceleration. It has decent power going up hills and passes other cars rather nicely. The newer civics feel like they could greatly benefit from some stiffer springs, bigger sway bars and some decent tires. At first I thought that the car handled like shit but after putting a few hundred on it the car would go through the paces but it just felt like the suspension setup was letting it down. The SI trims probably handle tons better but I've never had the chance to ride in or drive one.

I must admit, I was inside of a 2010 Accord and I fucking LOVED the interior. I absolutely love cockpit/jet fighter interior with a small cabin. I think it being small inside makes it cozy. Which is one of my factors and getting my new car

Some of you might remember that i said i saw a really clean integra at Shell when i was putting gas in my car, and talked to the guy that owned it and stuff. It's on craigslist now, still for 3600. It turns out it's an auto, but it would be worth it to swap a manual transmission in imo.

KBB is hard to go by. I use NADA if I *have* to go by book value, but I'm pretty good at street value and appraising, on Hondas anyways.

Just picked this up for $1,000 even. 1995 Accord EX. Paint looks like it never saw the sun, and the interior looks like no one ever sat in it. 130ish k on the clock, and only 40k on a swapped Japanese crate F22B.
Just needs an engine bay cleaning and I just pulled the left axle to fix a tear in a broken boot. It's pretty solid now. Just dirty under the hood.

I hate Hondas because:
1. They're 80% fucking plastic. Especially the newer ones
2. The engine compartments are tiny as fuck.
2a. So tiny that you usually have to take alot of shit apart just to replace one thing.
3. The drivers around me are usually douches.
4. Personally, I find most of them to be ugly.

My Civic is completely made of steel except for the bumper cover, even the bumper itself is hard steel. And they were made like this until 2005.
My engine compartment is also one of the easiest to work around out of all FWD layouts. It takes me 10 minutes at most to change a starter, 20 minutes max to change an alternator, 10 minutes to change either manifold, two hours (absolute tops, unless I'm being lazy) to change the entire engine, an hour to do a head gasket job, 5 minutes to pull the rad...
I don't have to take anything off to replace any given external component on my engine.
Generalizing all Hondas like that is kind of silly. Anything that was made before the mid-to-late 90s is going to be far easier to work on than something beyond that point. The 4th generation Civic platform is what I reccomend for ANYONE wanting to learn about cars -- cheap, easy to fuck with, and simple. Most cars of the era had no power steering (because they are so lightweight), so the accessories were A/C and an alternator, which allowed for extremely easy access to everything.
Best way to get into working on cars is to start with an older Civic. Super simple and parts are everywhere.

I know, but it actually works out perfect for my wife, so now I don't have to teach her to drive manual, and therfore she will never need to drive my car. Bought it from a lady down the street who had some retired honda mech. do all the work on it. Stack of paperwork out the glovebox. It was a great find.

Actually, manual makes a difference. I test drove a 1992 Del sol, with the 1.5l. It felt like I was driving a lawnmower down the street, flooring the gas pedal to go anywhere, then test drove a manual version - big difference and could actually pass people.
A manual version of this accord would be cool seeing as how it has a Prelude motor in it, and is a coupe, but it works fine as is.

Actually, once the intake is removed on almost any of them (5 minutes of work) you will notice that the engine bay is pretty empty.

The only things which are plastic on my mother's 2010 Civic is the bumper covers, trim and headlights/taillights, the only things that are plastic on my 1999 Integra are the bumper covers, trim and taillights. Sure the bigger panels on both of these cars are rather thin and dent easily but they are by no means plastic. The 94-97 Integras seem to have thicker body panels though since the 98-01 ones are about 150 pounds lighter.
I've worked on a few ford trucks, an 86 Camaro and helped with a bunch of other bigger vehicles. The only complaints I have about my car is that the transmission sucks to take out without a lift and few small hoses suck to remove without removing a couple others. The only thing which is even a pain to get to is the starter which has a bolt that goes into a hole that you just can't directly see. The rear motor mount also sucks dick but that can't be helped a whole lot.
I don't have to jack up my car to work on most things where as my friend's Camaro has to be put on jack stands so fucking much he should just weld some of the damn things to it. All the body panels have about 6-8 bolts holding them on and everything on the car can be removed from it with a row of metric sockets, deep 10, 14 and 17mm's, philips screwdriver, hammer and a 32mm socket for the axle nuts. Some wobbly's come in handy and some other fancy tools as well but with a little persistence it would work.
Yeah, the Honda scene fucking sucks around here too. All the drivers eye you down and are assholes to the rest of them. Driving around in my buddy's Camaro normally ends up in waves, revs, thumbs up and respectful acknowledgement.
If you find these cars ugly then I'm very sorry for your taste in cars.
I also find it very sad that it's near impossible to find a EM1 that doesn't look like shit on google images..

3 and 4 I don't mind. If you think I'm a douche with an ugly car, so be it. Douches, like blond girls, have more fun.
1 and 2 is crap. I can guarantee you there's more plastic on a Corvette or Mustang than on a Civic. And the engine compartment is just fine. I have big hands and I have no problem at all working in there.
What kind of cars are you comparing to? I don't want to diss you, but what's your taste in cars?

His Accord didn't even have a 1.5 stock.
In our old 99' (different gen, but still), we were never short on power, and could even chirp the wheels from a 2.0 I4.
Plus Del Sols are just sporty looking economy cars, the automatic would be geared for fuel efficiency rather than quickness.
