How could they ruin a character that badly? It literally confuses me.

I thought it was a nice touch how Rick decided to go back to save Shane after contemplating over the remains of those two cops. I took that scene as him remembering their friendship. A good officer wouldn't abandon his partner.
Preview coming up on Comic book men :D
Edited:
Well that was quick
What was it, I missed it.
Wtf is everyone going crazy why the hell is Daryl beat that kid up?
Daryl is beating the shit out of Randal, he ask him how many there were in his group, there's a silence, then it shows Daryl pulling out his knife.
oh shit
I didn't see that preview, just the one on amc storyline
fuck! I want to see it D:
Interrogation
I feel these last few episodes have redeemed the show.
What is significance of that zombie walking in that wheat field?
Crap, just saw the post a page back.... o well.
Daryl probably wants to know if Merle is with them.
and I could understand if he was with them or possibly in the prison in the future?
The zombie represents Shane and the wheat field represents the group.
I feel as if the zombie in the field related to what Lori said about crossing the line, in this case the road for the Walker, but something else for Shane.
When Rick was leaving Shane I was like
comic spoiler what if Shane finds the prison and leads them to the barn instead of the kid
Andrea annoys me thinking she's some sort of suicide contemplation veteran just because she's been through one instance of that.
Sweet episode though.
Or you just read the comic
Awesome episode, loads of symbolic meanings too. First thought when I saw them leaving the Department was that they were being followed by the walkers, because you see them running after them on the road. That one walker could mean loads of things, upcoming destruction, sign that you aren't safe, sign to leave, or all 3, then again it could means there's a fucking walker in the field near the farm (Newest episode spoiler)
Edited:
Except the series isn't following the comic too well. Considering you know, shane didn't die as soon as rick found them
Wait what
so whilst the episode airs people are willing to discuss it with no spoilers
but now after it's aired we're spoiler tagging what happened?
make up your fucking minds people
The plot progression of this episode was one step forward and two steps back. We're literally at the same point as last weeks episode. They still don't know what to do with the kid.
There was lots of action, but what actually happened?
Everything is the same.
Well Rick and Shane vented their growing animosity towards one another, and it seems that Shane has at last accepted Ricks' leadership. For now at least.
In the preview for next week's episode Andrea and Shane are back to talking about getting rid of Rick as leader
bloody hell, why did they ruin one of my favorite characters?
Edited:
good episode though
Golly, that didn't last long.
My mom and I came up with the BEST way they should have ended this episode.
We both hate Shane, so we were rooting for him dying this episode, but that obviously didn't happen. We figured they should have ended the episode by having Shane lose his knife like he did, then hearing a groan in the bus, and a walker stands up in the back, there's a long pause, and when it turns around IT SHOULD BE FUCKING OTIS
Karma. Fucking karma would have made the best fucking ending for this episode ever.
that would have been the worst thing ive ever seen please never write a tv show with your mother
How didn't Shane get infected?
Also lmao, first Rick and Shane are all silent killers with knifes, then the random guy mentions Maggie, then they go crazy yelling and fighting and startle a lot of zombies.
How would he get infected?
and the guy was already yelling, so...
yeah wasn't like we saw him die or anything
He is infected, did you mean how did he not get bit?
Edited:
Otis was eaten, there would've been nothing left to turn into a zombie.
just whipped this up
![]()
they constantly have their mouths wide open while they bludgeon and stab zombies youd think theyd be a little more concerned about inhaling some blood speckles they have to have done so multiple times already
"Time for the sheriff to put his gun in your mouth"
Seriously though.
I hated the talk that Lori and Andrea had, but I'm hoping Andrea will fuck up while on watch duty again, causing everyone to think she's a useless sack of shit and maybe the reason why Andrea and Shane talk about getting rid of Rick is because of their failed efforts to become "significant" within the group, in a positive way.
Although, I must say, I don't think the writers for this season are as good as the ones last season. The drama seems overplayed and character development is few and far between, with characters like T-Dog and Daryl now being cast aside only to be focused on in another episode. I will admit in the newest episode Beth and the whole suicide thing was done well, but the conversation between Lori and Andrea was antagonizing to watch.
I don't know. With the TV series, there's a lot to love, and a lot to hate.
I'm only talking about the latest episode but I spoiler'd it to be sure.
The prison part was pretty good. I only hope Shane and Rick would try even more to work things out. As for the events back at the farm, I really couldn't stand Andrea and Lori this episode.
Department of Public Works*
What about the half zombie at the beginning and end of the first season? That was a mother that got swarmed and eaten by a huge group of walkers just like Otis was.
I don't know we were just caught up in the moment and wanted Shane to fucking die
Edited:
It's a ZOMBIE show. Dying isn't permanent![]()
Well if they happened to eat/destroy his brain he'd be unable to come back. And if he ended up like that mother I highly doubt he'd have made it all the way from the school to the DPW and be able to stand up/harm Shane in any way.
My thoughts
I kind of wanted Shane to be left for dead, but not die. This would serve as a good motive for Carl/Dale to shoot him in the next few episodes.
I don't think this new kid will last too long, it seems like his only real purpose is to lead the group to the prison and then he'll probably be killed by the Governor.
Andrea is now my most hated character, she clearly took the wrong idea from Shane. At least Shane had legitimate reasons, Andrea's just become your typical desensitized teenager. Also, Beth or w/e her name was needed a good slap across the face from the moment it was obvious she wanted to end her own life.
The problem with the andrea vs lori argument is that, although they both had some good points (mostly andrea with the "you never lost anything" thing), nobody likes them that much, so it's hard to choose a side, though now I officially hate andrea
I was so rooting for Shane to be left for dead, though Rick coming back and doing that drive-by was badass. Oh and Andrea is a bitch.
