Well, just tried the game out. Runs very smoothly on medium settings, and I'm actually below minimum specifications (well, for the processor). Appears to be a well-ported game!

That's probably because the Xbox version was the version that actually got ported.

I'm so tempted to buy this right now, but I heard that a physical copy is coming out and I'd much prefer that. But the only info I can find about the physical copy is that it comes out March 2nd but I found nothing for retailers in the US. Maybe it's just different countries? Can anybody confirm this?

It's not a shitty port. It's a perfectly good PC version. Even has fov adjusting in the options.

As for the game itself, it's fucking amazing, worth every penny.
