I need an extra hour, I had no time to do it last night.
What I'm doing:
OK, you're now an hour late.
So Kepler isn't submitting anything. Next person use Z_guy's code.
get over it
it's not a fucking competition sheesh
It doesn't seem like Perl is submitting anything either. Garry is next!
Do you even make an attempt to remind the people that its their turn?
Ugh this is turning into a country. Politics everywhere!
Did garry contribute anything / with what am I supposed to work?
Downloading base code now... I will repost up later if i make anything decent. but looks like basic platform code is down, i might add or remove a bit to make it more awesome!
This non submission thing is becoming an unfortunate and annoying trend.
Nah, its really a good thing, its not about submissions and stuff, its about making a good game! am i right?
Apparently OP hasn't even tried to notify people that it's their turn.
Sorry guys I'm a turd, I completely forgot it was my go yesterday! :(
Hey guys, I've been sick with a really bad fever for the last few days. I'm going to put this on pause and move the dates back to people can get their turn. Sorry about that!
Garry can have his turn tomorrow.
People sign up so far in advance that you really should remind them a few days ahead of time so they can perhaps say "I'll be really busy that day, someone else can have my turn".
This would make more sense if it were the first person to post "my turn!" (perhaps have a lottery on the site for people wanting to have their day).
Scheduling such a huge amount of people over a communication media with no notification system is impossible - it falls to pieces when the manager disappears.
Just record whose being already so they don't go twice.
Make overv make a userscript!
Well, I guess we have to wait until i300 gets better? :\
Just for the record, I do not have time to do anything tomorrow (12 hours work, yay).
A day has 24 hours though :(
Here's what: I want to do some rescheduling so people can get dates that work for them. I'm going to put up a form sometime soon for people to choose dates that work for them. Then I'll make a system that notifies people via email. Hows that sound?
Then we could try and go whatever day we want to, without needing to plan around it.
I'm sure we are all mature enough to schedule ourselves until you get better and make it.
The site's download page is heavily outdated
Since i300's administrative attitude seems not to have worked very well, why don't we try going anarchistic?
First person to say "I claim this planet in the name of Mars" after midnight each day gets the code for that time period. When you're done, you post the code.
1) Don't take the code if you aren't going to work on it.
2) Don't take the code just to be a dick to someone.
3) Don't take the code more than once.
Other than that, do whatever you like with the code and assets. If you don't post your code before the next person starts, you'll have to convince them or the person after them to merge your changes.
Nice idea, but we would need some kind of list tho
So, uh... has anyone had a turn?
what a failure the whole "centralized" aspect to it ruined it IMO. should have been far more decentralized as originally planned.
person A codes for a day. person A uploads
person B downloads person A's code. person B codes for a day. person B uploads.
person C downloads person B's code. person C codes for a day. person C uploads.
no theme, no external site, no "manager", just a thread for people to post their uploads
You know, I think I'm just gonna program kepler's code for a day and post what I get. Which will probably fail, since so many people have failed to do things.
So I started up the game to a surprise... A certain song. Hm.
Fuck this. I'm outta here.
I wonder whether you might do something like this combined sorta with that doodleordie thing.
Basically this, but on a dedicated website, with many different projects, and probably more fast-paced. I'd imagine you probably want to make it more structured too, with a simple scripting language sorta like those bot battling games.
I'm OK with i300s site but he's way too slow and shouldn't act like the "project manager"
does it matter, none of you have done anything interesting to this project in the first place
