    The part where that chick did surgery on herself in that auto-surgeon while still awake AND survived after the alien was pulled out was badass

I know, I liked it. I wasn't saying it was bad. But I was really confused (not in the bad way) and terrified, especially at the scene you mentioned. Had to close my damn eyes.

Yeah I nearly closed my eyes too. I thought, "Any second,     That thing is gonna come bursting out of her chest."

At the very end,     I still don't understand where the fuck the alien from Alien came from. How can a squid-monster and a shaved ape create something completely different from both of them? Also, what the hell was the black liquid supposed to do? I think it was some kind of biological weapon, but I still don't understand what it's effect was supposed to be.

   The thing that grabbed the humanoid was a prehistoric facehugger, and in the alien trilogy that's how the aliens are made. The black goo was the biological weapon developed by the humanoids to wipe out the humans. Charlie is the first one to die from it.

Ah, that explains it. I don't think I ever saw the Alien trilogy. If I did, I don't remember much of it.

DVI to HDMI cables are the bomb for stuff like that. I rigged up my DVD player to my computer monitor (that only supports DVI) as a test once to see the effect, it works good. A little quality loss, but i guess that depends on the monitor.
