Aiming “lag” reduction. If you’ve tried to shoot at a target moving laterally on your screen it’s sometimes difficult to hit them consistently, this has to do with bullets tracking a frame or two behind your aim location. This is a bug we’re actively addressing.

Apparently PS2 benefits greatly from having an SSD.

People are reporting big performance improvements from switching from HD to SSD.

I run it on one as well, the load times are about 5 seconds, 10 for spawning into a large battle.

It's also ram heavy. 4gb to 8gb makes a big difference between low and high.

The 9gb covers the base game aswell (animations, ui, scripting e.t.c.) I'd imagine new continents will only be around the 1 - 2 Gb mark

I am running the game on a SSD disk and you are probably right about that.
The game is pretty smooth for me 50-60 fps on a 460 8gb ram
