prolly the only continent I'll be playing on, asides from the post-launch planned lava continent.
that skies are amazing
Wow, I thought that was a SpaceEngine screenshot at first it looks so good
imagine if PS2 had space combat
starwars battlefront but 10x larger
hello i am lolwut i make big terrible posts with lots of bbcodes to make my opinion seem more important even though half of them are complaining about speculation
Edited:
i have no faith in the game i seem to have been waiting for all my life
Yep that describes me pretty well
(That screenshot of Esamir renewed my faith.)
Edited:
Someone should buy me this title.
I would love you long time.

Apparently PS2 benefits greatly from having an SSD.
People are reporting big performance improvements from switching from HD to SSD.
I run it on one as well, the load times are about 5 seconds, 10 for spawning into a large battle.
Edited:
It's also ram heavy. 4gb to 8gb makes a big difference between low and high.
16GB RAM and a SSD awaits PS2. What is the size of the current install?
9gb.
Only indar though.
holy fuck shit i suddenly need a new harddrive
God damn 9gb for one continent???
The 9gb covers the base game aswell (animations, ui, scripting e.t.c.) I'd imagine new continents will only be around the 1 - 2 Gb mark
Better 9gb for an entire continent then 35 gb for a linear set of levels and variations of the same levels for multiplayer, just because your physics engine is so "fancy"
*cough* max payne 3 *cough*
This is how I feel playing planetside 2
Yes, it will. Do it, quick!
I am running the game on a SSD disk and you are probably right about that.
The game is pretty smooth for me 50-60 fps on a 460 8gb ram
Well, than I DO have a reason to get a SSD soon.
Or you know, this week's optimizations might include making the game they want thousands of people to play NOT require an SSD.
I have a reason to get a new motherboard..
I want 8 GB DDR3 RAM. Currently I can either go 8 GB DDR2 RAM or 4 GB DDR3 RAM.
ram is pretty cheap these days, i'm really interested in buying a ssd though.
SSDs are cheap nowadays too you can get away with 120€ for 128 gb here in sweden with our ridiculous taxes
Well, my meeting with the PS2Tv team starts in a bit. I have no clue what they want me to do or what to expect.
Kinda exciting though.
Who?
A site that streams Planetside tournaments and stuff.
You should tell us everything.
I honestly don't want to watch more footage. I want to be able to plaaay already!
I want them to open the servers again today. Today is going to be my last day I can before heading off to see the gf for a week.
fff
Oh well, my friend can have my account when I'm gone.
Edited:
Fffffffff its starting tomorrow until friday.
Going to miss all of it.
What Thom said pretty much. They also have some PS1 lore videos on their channel which is really interesting.
Nothing news worthy just idle chitchat getting to know each other. Its a small group of 10 people. Mostly video editors and some audio people.
God I remember those videos. They were terrible.
What really? What was wrong with them so at least I don't make terrible ones.
Wow. 1:25 look exactly like the Starships from Stargate. I mean, it's really uncanny.
Ship in question:

The script, its just badly wrote.
Edited:
It is the same ship.
Oh, alright well I'll tell them that. I'm sure some criticism would help them.
Nevermind, fan video.
