I've compiled a version of CS that mimics the beta versions of gameplay.
There 140 maps, most of which weren't included in the final ver, but these were maps you would find being played during the 1999-2000 era of CS.
Alot of sound's have been replaced by there old ones, particularly the weapon sounds, some radio commands have been changed back. And the Player models are based of Beta 7.1.
Both versions of the M4A1 are included!

Download Instructions: Just extract the folder into your steam/steamapps/accountname/half-life folder.

You sure you've got the right IP address? 192.168.etc is known for being the return address to everyone's computer/router.

I don't know I could just be retarded, but I'm no good at this.
My particular IP adress looks nothing like this, and It's not going to let me connect cause I'm using a hub.
I can't do it from this PC, I'll try with my other one.
When I put in my actual IP into the D-Link site to foward a port, it says it needs to be within the WAN subnet.

you extract it to your steam\steamapps\account name\half-life\ folder so it's \half-life\CSTB\

Call me paranoic, but, i´m seeing some dlls that it has, so i make this question: this will be safe (non-VAC ban), right? (i can play HL/other HL mods online without any risk).

of course i can't say it for 100%, but every mod comes with dlls in it. I'd say that when you aren't overwriting anything you should be safe

Finally i tried it after some friends told me that is safe to play. But now i´m confused: it doesnt have bots, but i´m seeing files and dlls about custom bots.
The bots arent available for the moment, or is just a leftover from your tests?
I want to play online too.

Downloading right now. This looks like a lot of fun, I like how cs 1.6 handles and would like to experience the feel of beta gameplay. Does it have cs 1.3 style bunny hopping?

Since there are no servers, how do you add bots into a game? I've never known how to do it in a hl game.

I used to play CS Beta in 2000, when I had no PC and played in computer clubs.
Would be nice to remember good old days, so I'll go play it...
..it this mod doesn't require CS 1.6.
