I seen a thread in the Modelling section for weapons and shit, so I had a few concepts of landscapes/cities saved so I thought I would upload them here for you guys to use.

I take no credit for these concepts what so ever, all credit's go to the respectful owner(s).

If only Left 4 Dead had looked more like that... I still love the games regardless, but I really wish it was possible to see how the original game would have looked like had Turtle Rock Studios made the game by themselves. Sure, it wouldn't have gotten as popular as it did, but it would have been one awesome game (not that the actual ones aren't).

I agree. I love both of the games to death, but I like L4D1 just a tiny bit more. The maps were dark, gritty, depressing, and actually felt like a horror movie. I understand why they changed the art style for L4D2, but it just seems a little bit more silly.

Argh. This is too painful. The style of these pieces of concept art is SO much more of a dark, depressing mood, and it really pulls you in to the whole apocalypse mood, but the final game(s) fell a bit short. If only they went full force with these concepts instead of trying to make L4D more movie style and L4D2 more highlighted gore style... (At least we still have Mike Patton)

So I started making that map. It WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off completion, but I'll get there eventually. Just starting to build the base structure then will go into a lot more detail. Any suggestions on how far out I should go?

Am I looking at that concept art right, or do I see that all the roads are actually connected roofs of buildings? That's one epic (and strange) city there, and I wish it existed.

You need to fix the scale man. Unless my eyes are somehow fooling me, your screenshots make it seem way smaller than the picture. Those windows are like 5 stories tall, yours seems like 2 stories.

I think its just the angle of the screen shot, I was trying to get it at the same angle, but for some reason its just off slightly, the walls are actually like well.... deep as fuck.
