Well first step is to memorize all the spells and their quas/wex/exort combinations.I was serious when I asked for a guide to play invoker

Just wondering, who exactly picks the recommended items for every hero?

I've got Invoker's spells pretty much memorized, I just don't seem to have any killing power with him in engagements. I normally use Tornado/Sun Ray or Meteor/Cold snap in engagements but after that I'm kinda stuck as my r is on cooldown from switching spells and so are my spells. My enemies just seem to whiff off my auto as no biggie. Also I am kind of confused how to stack Quas Wex Exort when leveling. I normally go fast stack Quas for regen to farm creeps longer mixed with some Exorts to get some burst damaging spells for enemies to ward them off. I get Wex up high at some later levels so my tornado (and EMP when I feel the need) for it do more damage, but still the enemies just get away because I'm a slow poke even with 3 Wex orbs on they can get to teamates/towers.
Also I wasn't specifically talking about Invoker when I said I needed to get better. I just haven't found a hero I like that suits me. I like Invoker because of the magicka-esque spell combinations but I lack the killing power, when I think he has a huge killing potential, I'm just stuck on how to unlock it. The 2nd character I like the most (1st being invoker) is Clinkz, but I get angry at the late game of his because I don't get enough LH because it's still hard for me to actually predict when my arrow will kill in one shot (because I learned about auto attacking creeps is kind of bad), so I don't get enough gold for high tier items and just don't kill anyone fast enough either unless they're already fairly wounded.
tl;dr why am I trying invoker he is so haaaaaaardddddddd but I like him soooo muchhhh

I'm proud of myself for this game, our early was so terrible and my team was feeding so I decided to just farm and gank every so often and it snowballed like crazy. :D
I can't believe I used to think NS was a shit hero late game. Haha, only my fourth game with him too.

Are there any good guides to killing? I have never made a kill against bot or human, unless with cheats. I'm good at farming and can often get an enemy to run back to base by taking them down to low hp but i can't finish them off.

So does anyone want to fucking start a party? My friend doesn't want to play as he's baking, and he's also the only friend I have that plays Dota 2. Fuck solo queuing as my partners are always 10 year olds that just got the game and feed, and the enemy team is always 5 koreans on a team with MLG communication skills to gank me anytime I step a foot away from my team even when I try to tell my team what to do to whip it in shape

And they've never played Sven and power level Great Cleave.

That feel when you say "Please, pick heroes you want now because I would like to random and not get something you want" and noone picks hero until game starts.

I kinda disagree with that. Randoming after the rest of you team has locked is usual a bad idea, because more often then not you will random a 3rd carry or someone who is useless to your current team.
Always jump on the random button as soon as the selection starts.

It's Pub for christ's sake, composition does matter, but it's not deciding factor.
