No, we alternate depending on who's available. It's hard to find enough people online for both, to be honest, because DOTA is so time-consuming and most folks only have time for 1 - 3 (nonconsecutive) games per day.
Save for 100% new players, we don't include or ignore players based on skill. We include or ignore based on availability.
Our inhouses are only sort of about learning. The group was originally intended as practice, but now it's more of a get together kinda group.
Practice. It isn't like sports where you need to put in an insane amount of effort and you only get a few minutes in the spotlight to show your stuff. If you keep playing DOTA, listening to advice, and following guides, you'll get better.
No tetra plays a lot of different heroes these days. I don't see him play Gondar or Lina that much anymore.

Also for the record I still struggle with cs too; on a good solo lane I'm doing less than 40 lh in 10 minutes.
It's a quota and the whole point is that you set the bar high and try to hit it, and over time it becomes much easier to do as you practice.

Also I have to deal with very similar arguments regularly since I see them a lot from our DOTA games. It's the same old shit over and over again.

And also, if you're too lazy to carry because you didn't need to, stop trying.
If that game was so easy, and you were not able to carry, it means you're bad at it, not that "it doesn't matter I didn't need to anyway".

Also I don't remember the last time I've even seen a night stalker. He's really fallen off at my level I guess. I think last time I saw one was about 20 games ago and he did okay I think.

fucking new players DO NOT pick support\carry, you will get fucking raped because you don't have any nukes. I'm sick of players going "HOLY FUCK ENIGMA PURPLE GOTTA PICK ENIGMA" and shit like that. People who play support\carry\pusher heroes either suck dick or are insanely good.

I don't. I just don't like seeing bullshit explode in this thread like it did. :/ This is one of the few threads I constantly check and I don't like seeing it made into a headache to read.

You do realise that new players are likely not to play any hero well if they don't have good amount of action-rts/moba experience ?
Even Skeleton King, Dota favours different gold/time/mechanics managment than the other games.
If you see someone do badly as a new player, instead of telling them off, you could just tell them some tips about the game/hero and suggest watching some live games /replays instead, or maybe even playing custom games/ vs AI.
Hell, you can play a match any day any time, if you truly find someone fresh and polite about that, you could just train them in a couple of matches. I dare to say it would be nice change of pace from regular Pubs, trying to look after a person and slowly teaching them.

I had a game as Sand King earlier with a guy who, I guess, had never played Dota before. He asked what an easy hero to learn was, I told him Lich. First thing he said after that was, "So, this is Plague Rider, then?"
We lost, but it wasn't because of him. I blame our "solo-mid carry" Windrunner and farm-all-game-then-bitch Lone Druid.
And Meteor/Sunstrike Invoker who refused to switch spells at all.

Entire team clicks N'aix the moment we can pick, I joke that we should all play him and then click Drow. One of them picks Silencer, another picks Spirit Breaker. A few seconds later, pink picks AM. Last guy waits until there's 1 second left to pick, then randoms Spectre.
I literally just went "Fuck it." And picked Lycan.
We actually might have won, which surprised me quite a bit. Like, until the last fight where my entire team went to stop them taking Rosh while I was pushing top, and ended up getting themselves killed, it was going really well.

I love Dazzle. 90% of the time I play him we seem to stomp. Early game mana issues, but once I get a Soul Ring I just spam heal and rarely, if ever die. There are even times I'm solo side with him and manage to do well. He's even useful as a pusher.
