is there no ignore function in this game?
There is, but you can't ignore someone during a game.
The most you can do is, if they're using their microphone and being annoying, mute them.
Nah. Don't play with Rats unless you want to be told how to play haha. It wasn't anybodys fault really. We just got outplayed. We had 2 other players who weren't great, and you weren't a bad initaiter. Just a bad clockwerk.
He waited until a fight was over and everyone else was dead to ult in to the enemy team.
/probably way madder than I should be because this is my eighth loss in a row.
E: And I didn't say he was bad at initiating, per se. I said he was bad, and that he was our initiator.
People shittalk all over the internet, haven't got used to it yet?
Also, just a thought.
At least I'm not writing a book about how bad he was, like that guy in the LoL thread did after 1 bot game with me where I stopped trying because we had a leaver, a feeder, and a guy who had no idea how to play his champion.![]()
Jupiter if I let every game I played of DOTA get to me that badly because people got mad at me I would've uninstalled DOTA my first few weeks of playing.
DOTA has a massively steep learning curve and you start out struggling, but, if you stick with it and try to work on your shortcomings, it's a huge payoff.
Edited:
Also one of my friends who has been playing DOTA since the early 2000s actually uninstalled his DOTA 2 once because he was convinced that solo matchmaking was letting him down and that there was no way for him to win.
I doubt he'll improve phenomenally as a player because he always blames his shortcomings on other people instead of looking at them and trying to advance.
I know that feel, most was 15 losses. All of them from feeders/dc's. About 10 losses in, I started wondering "What am I doing with my life" and took a break from dota. Played again thinking "Hey, all I needed was a break. Lost 5 more times and stopped playing on the weekend along with stopping soloq's

Any tips for weaver? I feel like playing him since he looks pretty fun. I haven't because I saw a lvl 18 drow outcarry a lvl 22 weaver.
I'm pretty sure "muting" also prevents text chat and minimap drawing.
Clockwerk is hard. I've played him like... Once and not well at all. I have over 1000 hours now.
So yeah, don't feel bad. You've just got a long way to go yet.
It also probably didn't help that, early on in the game, I almost got 3 kills, but every single one of them was stolen by Zeus as I fired my last arrow.
Edited:
I'm thinking of just not queueing with people who have less than 30 wins, or maybe just less wins than me except for people I know aren't gonna pull stupid shit.
Best advice I can give for weaver is, get a vanguard and radiance, and save your ult for when you're about to die from burst damage. I've only played him 1-2 times, though, so I could be completely wrong.
We had a pudge player who every time he used gas was like "wtf how do i turn this off" and ended up dying 4 times before someone told him you have to push W again to turn it off. I was on the verge of ripping my hair out.
It still ruins the mood, nobody wants to deal with assholes- especially the really stupid ones.
Just played a game with Sniper and Lina. Best ksers in the game. I couldn't get any kills and they yelled at me for farming. ("Lets end this early!!!"). I figured out why, sniper can't teamfight, only knows how to ulti.
Edited:
Sniper built mask of madness.

Also, how do I play weaver exactly? I'm pretty sure he isn't played like a regular carry because he doesn't seem to have much damage.
Who's Sodomizing Void? I wanna say Bloodseeker but I don't think it's him
you actually reminded me of myself tbh, I won't be rude to anyone anymore since it seems like you're the one to take the spot
ursa
Weaver is just a natural born harasser. Late game, he is basically a pusher and bait hero(Let a couple of powers go on you, shukuchi, another couple of spells, ulti, and then your team has to worry about less abilities in play). He can carry but you need quite a nice amount of luxuries to do so.
The best weaver's I've seen just pop around and literally weave in and out of fighting. They'll invis in, hit a person while invisible then fire off a few shots then invis away and keep it up until they target is dead. He's fragile but he can survive easily if he plays smart.
my entire team had left, this was fun, prolonged it out to almost 50 (missing two items because I spent 12k in the last few minutes on 2 divines)
can't carry em all :C
I'm so new to drow I had no idea what to buy to make the most out of her, please help me here
If I had that much gold, I'd buy daedalus, bfly, mkb over a satanic.
Edited:
After lothars I just go daedalus and bkb then whatever is left. I don't know what I would do in 1v2 situation.
Just because you get Helm of the Dominator doesn't mean you need to upgrade it to Satanic.
That Satanic was necessary or else I would die when we clashed, and it was basically 1v3 due to Druid's bear. I had a bfly which I sold to make room, never thought about an MKB, thanks.
It would still be taking up a slot and I had basically infinite gold, why not?
I honestly think Satanic is one of the weakest high tier upgrades.
Combined with a bkb and used at the right time though it can be basically a cheese with some carries.
weirdest game i ever saw.
You guys should come watch my friends and me be average/bad at Dota http://www.justin.tv/ghetogeek
little niglets: I think
little niglets: SF
little niglets: has down sydrom
First thing I saw when I joined.![]()
I had that feeling bro. Try to aim at some squishy heroes. There was a guide about this which helped me to play clockwerk, if you want i can post it here.
This guide right here got some tips on who to hook and whom not to hook, item builds, and basic roles about how you should play Clock.

I'm in love with Chen by the way. Very good early game character. After 0:30, i search for that nuke creep, who has a shockwave that does 100 damage, and after i level up, i level up my "Test of Faith", and then attack to whoever near my lane is, they never could survive from those attacks. Late game, he needs to be support though, spells arent really powerful than it was
Ya I had to stop because it was affecting my game too much, I'm too used to playing with 100 fps
Played QoP, absolutely crushed bot lane with sand king. Shame they had a leaver halfway through the match because of that lane crushing :(
