(Lava is probably default on, as few would like to miss that. But to fancy Lava
formations mean people will look behind)
A certain distance to spawn and/or your base (xray, chestfinder have roughly
160 block limit, afaik server does not give client more as 10 chunk distance),
keep important stuff in inventory and spreading backup chest with more
important stuff has a certain degree of certainty. Also keep bed & chest at
My experience is that only a radius like 1k or 2k from spawn is actively
searched by some with nodus. Outside of that people only seem to
stumble upon them and sometimes missing obvious chests
(obvious if they had some chest-finder).
Either that or people are more friendly at greater distances.
edit: @DSG: Sorry, was not meant as stab towards you but as more info on Xray mod. Even this is not perfect.
Well I had fun on my couple of hours on this.
Some guy called 'sainteirik' was at the spawn and helped me build up supplies to survive. He ended up leading me over to his fort through the nether and fell down a hole to lava before he got there. He lost enchanted diamond gear, stacks of chicken and a stack of diamond.
Meanwhile, just made it to 14k-ish.
I didn't lose anything so like it matters.
the morning players on 2b2t are maximum chill, a few of them didn't even know about all the redditfags that play.
damn i just got my fortune III, efficiency IV, durability III last night and i already got like 15 stacks of coal and two stacks of diamond within like half an hours time
lol, my pick had fortune III, efficiency V and unbreaking III
how do you guys get at diamonds?
I'm looking at my sky platform, and I'm realizing it's pretty fucking stupid. Should I abandon or suck it up?
Cover the floor with lava and then break the floor after.
I'd say a furnace surrounded by as few diamond ores as possible would be the best place to store valuables. If you make it look like a natural small vein of diamonds, chances are xrayers wont really bother going for it, (especially if you put it above/below/near lava it wont show up with the chest wallhack either. Only downside is that you can only store one valuable (possibly two, im not entirely sure) in a furnace.
so are monster spawners disabled or what? tried doing what people said (putting 2 blocks clearance on all sides) but it isn't working any longer.
They are some kind of bugged, it didnt work for me for like two days then randomly worked, im not sure what the source of the problem is anyway
the source of the problem is that there's some people using afk modified clients to get maximum mob spawn on their grinders
some fag got 60 levels in a few splash potions iirc
Im gonna travel on to deeper lands. But I have two bases in 16k+~ that you guys can use. I'm Anchorman in game, just whisper me for the coordinates. There's farms at both, though a guy is living at the first one. The second one will be nether-road linked soon, since thats how I'm going to leave it.
I visited the 1mill base yesterday. it was pretty nice.
Running a small haven at 1.2k - 200.
Anyone in need of food are welcome. I have a farm with both melons and wheat running and a small tree farm just outside.
I have to admit the guys were really nice the first time I was on, I can also tell that it only takes one word to make everyone hate you too.
Damn, do some of you guys really trek out to 100k?
My house is around 3k and that's enough of a trip for me
How big exactly is the overall map?
I found an image of what I think is the old map:
Found it in the old 2b2t thread.
yes yes dumb I know i'm not being helpful.
(oh now i'm a tool)
