Much walking will take place in the near future.
The copy I ordered online is in my mailbox at home.
I'M NOT AT HOME. NOOOOO!!
Anyone with a higher level pawn who wants it to be used? Add Meowosaurus then.
A fewquick questions about this game. Iis there much in the way of acrobatics outside of climbing on big monsters? For instance, can you scale walls or cliffs, or even simply grab onto a ledge and haul yourself up?
How big are the dungeons in this game? Any sort of huge, sprawling underground structures?
How much pointless stuff is there to do outside of adventuring? That's one thing I always like seeing in RPGs for some reason.
"They're masterworks all, you cant go wrong" is now forever etched into my mind
And how come when The duke goes batshit and strangles his wife whose name i forgot, when you get out of the dungeon he acts like nothing happened? I'd be pretty pissed.
i keep geting arrested for stupid things :( like picking people up and putting them down again.
The game doesn't really have the that many dingeons, it's not a dungeon crawler. The ones that do exist vary in size and usually have some pizzle elements. The main dungeon in the Everfall which is pretty big, and even bigger (kinda) in the post-game.
The game has a lot of side quests, but they're mostly escort and collection quests. You can craft and make potions but to get or upgrade armour you need to see an armouror, you'll also need materials for advanced upgrades.
It annoys me that double vault is daggers only
And that assassins lose downpour volley
I was gonna go assassin but they get none of the sword skills I really liked and none of the bow skills I really liked, probably gonna go magick archer instead
There are some big dungeons in this game, also some small ones. Although there aren't that many. Some are really big though and cool. Like the quarry or catacombs. They are nicely made though, nothing like Skyrim with generic caves.
This game is pretty much about exploring and defeating monsters, doing some quests. There isn't much to do besides of collect that, kill those. You can find some cool hidden chests which is awesome. But there isn't much to do. Perhaps throwing bandits off the cliffs
godsbane farming is the single most depressing and rewarding thing ever
If I could mod this game I'd make a class that plays with the 2Handers + Magic Bows.
On my second character now, ranger is great fun. Just roamed around the countryside for a bit, there is so much stuff you won't see if you just follow the main story. Was ambushed by a drake during the night, chugged a vim and legged it back to Gran Soren as fast as I could.
This sure is a mighty thread!
'tis even bigger up close!
That big quest where you take back an outpost or castle or whatever from a fuckload of goblins made me see how important pawns were
Got inside and all pawns died, couldn't revive and accidently moved to next area killing all 3, the rest of the quest was so hard and it was so fucking quiet.
I prefer soloing or only taking my main pawn with me, so there's more baddies for me to slaughter.
Its so awkward when you run into someones house and find about 30 pieces of Hemp.
I'm either eating greens or shrooms in this game.
Man, nobody hires my pawn. If anyone's looking for a level 35 Mage with a good mix of healing (both the normal and debilitation), offense and buffs, look for Randalf, courtesy of Eastman_89.
I've cut about 5 hours into the game so far, and I have to say that I'm glad I bought this. Nothing like climbing on an ogre and stabbing it in the head until its face is set alight.
I've not had much luck with the mage variants so far though, I just die too quickly to archers and the like, however the assassin is great fun. Up next is a warrior archetype I think.
I'm having troubles killing the Ur-Dragon as a warrior. Any tips? The last hearts are on the the far ends of his wings which my ranger pawns aren't doing much to help.
Can someone explain what the godsbane does?
And also after playing DKS this game was way too easy for me, but still really fun.
So don't use it yet?
I just got to the true everfall
wow I thought i remembered how to do spoilers
I held it and it looked like I was about to end it. So I figured it killed me, but he said that it ended the game...
I'm confused now.
and off topic Zina, do you have D3?
It's a plot point later on, but at the point you're at it's just useful for the game over screen.
Also, the lady that asks you for 20 wakestones...don't finish it until you're going into NG+. You can get as many wakestones as you want, just don't turn them in.
I think I have like 30 WSs already, good thing I didn't turn them in.
Would this be a better choice than Kingdom of Amular?
I own both, I like both, but I doubt I'll even finish KoA, even after playing it for 30 hours, I am still in the top left of the map (the green areas), and have yet to see something after than forest and green plains, although the map consists of 8 massive biomes I have yet to explore. KoA probably has about 200 hours in it. DD can be finished in about 20, but is more addictive.
Okay, I've got my eye on this game. Form what I've heard it's pretty good.
However I have a few questions.
1) What's the multiplayer like
2) How does the combat feel
3) General overall thoughts
